Atomes Music is thrilled to present the new compilation Fingerprints of the Ancient, compiled by Kitsune, our very active Japanese DJ and producer living in Australia.
Fingerprints of the Ancient brings together artists from all over the world, including fellow travelers who have already signed EPs or tracks with Atomes, such as Ipotocaticac, Pluriverso, Depuratus, Le Malinard, Kitsune, and Kek Heh. We're delighted to be releasing tracks for the first time from Sensient Number Six, UgA-BooGa, Circus Freq, The Force Is Here, Vox Fabri, Yoshua E.m and Paranoiac. With this compilation, Kitsune gives us a glimpse into his musical universe, and takes Atomes Music down the darkest, most experimental paths of Darkpsy that the label has never trod.

Today, fingerprints from the ancient world survive as forms of arts, music, spiritualities, cultures, plant medicines, and science. Ancient ancestors have lived life, learning from it, and preserving its lessons in various art forms such as painting, writing and even vocally through singing. These remnants of their memories are just as relevant today and provide us with clarity and the very depth of our existence. Our growth happens through the momentary discomfort of humbling ourselves and learning from another. In this opus a wild variety of versatile artists were turning their minds inside out to deliver a psychedelic potpourri within the spectra of Organic Forest and Dark Psychedelic Trance.

To continue the Quadrivium saga, this compilation does consist of highly energetic, multi-layered soundscapes with outstanding depths of musical precision. With a mix of characteristic classics from our Quadrivium Roster and unexpected collaborations between some tremendously encouraged veterans of our scene, this obscure delicacy is an achievement of years of work, fine tuning and introspection that these artists are gifting us.

The Mossaic concept reflects the geometrical and architectural visualisations of our music, where mossy sonic patterns forms complex canvas of entangled organic textures and shapes.

In a more philosophical approach, the Mossaic represents the ancient links which connects humankind to nature, and brings to light our buried ancestral and wild roots that this music aims to reveal. The path to the core of our metaphysical heritage is deep and tortuous…

His dedication for melting complex technoid structures together with the impressions nature is giving him, does consecutively lead to an interesting symbiosis between solidity, diversity and an subtle organic nuance.
