This quote from an early review captures in perfection what I wanted to achieve with this track. A more upbeat instrumental, there's some heavy influences of M83, Death in Vegas and Mogwai, adding a slight touch of electronic music to a classic shoegaze vibe.

And yes, there's a ton of guitars :)

This early review caught what I wanted “baby jane” to sound like so well - a quintessential shoegaze summer anthem. If the last single “beehive” was me experimenting with some electronica, “baby jane” is all about going back to that 14 year old listening to Ride’s Nowhere for the first time and realizing an electric guitar and a great melody could change someone’s world. It sure did change mine.

With a rich background which includes recording with producer Darren Allison (Spiritualized, My Bloody Valentine), collaborating with Rachel Goswell (Slowdive, Mojave 3) and touring with Portuguese superstar David Fonseca, Moon Cowboy is the shoegaze solo act from Ricardo Fiel, a Lisbon-based songwriter.

His previous EPs “Hope” and “Go Baby Go” earned him excellent reviews from shoegaze fans, press and radio, with all proceedings being donated to charitable causes.
