This EP represents the distilled essence of a compositional journey of real substance — a focused exploration of motion, tension, and harmonic collision. Across the three tracks —
🎭 Ich tanze mein Helter-Skelter,
✈️ Flug zurück nach Berlin,
🌃 Zürcher Geschichten —
Mario shapes a sonic architecture where emotion and structure continuously reshape one another.

At the core of the work lies a deliberate and highly personal technique:
🔼 ascending scales and 🔽 descending scales are set in motion like opposing forces, each carrying its own emotional charge. Rather than resolving neatly, these currents are allowed to collide on major chords ✨ — turning what is traditionally stable into a site of friction, brightness, and transformation.

Each variation highlights this dynamic:

    🔼 Ascending lines evoke propulsion, desire, and forward movement.

    🔽 Descending lines suggest reflection, gravity, or dissolution.

    ✨ Their meeting on major harmonies creates a shimmering ambiguity — consonance charged with tension.

The result is an EP that feels alive, shifting, and ritualistic.
Not simply three songs, but a geometric emotional system, where every scale, chord, and variation participates in a larger narrative of movement and metamorphosis.

Original LPs change hands for about $700 each. Aaron Milenski in The Acid Archives wrote that this has "a sound similar to the early Chuck & Mary Perrin albums, if they didn't have female vocals. Japanese collectors crave it for those songs, though psych collectors will be more interested in 'Sightly Sue,' which has bizarre use of guitar vibrato, and 'I Need a Change' and 'Where Is The Change,' which have a bit of mild fuzz guitar (the latter has maybe the shortest and most unlikely wah wah break ever.) A few other songs have some jazzy lead guitar and complex chord progressions. Overall, somewhere between stark hippie folk and folky singer/songwriter. Loner folk fans may enjoy it, as a couple of songs are pretty dark in tone."

Suit of armour is a track that I wrote when love and fear collided, and left me feeling confused and avoidant. It's a song that observes the reservations I have, when there is something potentially beautiful in front of me, and I look for the cracks and flaws, as a protective method to avoid pain. It is melancholic that the beauty of love is shadowed by so much skepticism and mistrust, but there is an optimistic message too. I have the power to move through the weight of these experiences, remove the armour, and eventually be more open to connection, in time.
