Moonkin venturing into the realms of 140 and deep dubstep and trying out the Denon SC Live 4 for the first time. 

I'm excited to take you through 1.5h of slow, deep dubstep, also known as "140".
Moonkin has been producing electronic music and DJing for years. His aim is to bring new blends and musical influences to the dancefloor.
At 140 BPM we'll move through darker tones, slow shuffling tempos, pulsating bass, precise percussion, heavy kicks and dramatic soundscapes. His taste is especially tilted towards triphop, dub and the psychedelic.
Notable artists of the genre include "Truth", "Kami-O", and "Kwizma"
Come prepared, let yourself relax, close your eyes and let the music move you from the inside.

Mad Methods

This release is a collaboration between up-and-coming Swedish artist Moonkin and the long established Dense from Germany. The style / genre is psy-chill that covers melodic ambient tunes and well paced groovy beats.

This release as a whole is something that is very easy to switch off too. Deep ambient synths with twitches of tones that flicker through the tracks, on occasion there’s a touch of guitar. A couple of tracks ‘Birds Eye View’ and ‘Starboard’ take the two-step approach in places. Although tracks like "Kurast" and "Discoverance" feature heavy bass, kicks and psychedelic funky rhythms, this is definitely leaning more towards chill out than out and out drum and bass.

While ‘Mermaid’s Call’ which as the title suggests features some vocal tones. The overall vibe harps back to the beach bar sounds of Cafe Del Mar, with bird song, melodic flutes and guitar that lift off the slow paced drum patterns behind the piece.
