Sound researcher in the studio, chaos creator on the dancefloor our next podcast comes from @d-leria aka Giuseppe who started his DJ carrier over 20 years ago in 2001. In the early stages, he was focused on playing Hardcore, achieving international success, and playing at performing at major festival lineups. In 2014 he encountered a new and unfamiliar sound realizing that this was what he had long been desiring. D-Leria was born from this experimentation and started a whole new journey. At first, he began releasing independent EP's that developed the intentions of his very own label called Delirio. Artists such as Stanislav Tolkackev, Simone Giudice, Retina.it, Key Clef, and more were all hosted on several occasions on his label; all there to spread the same message, hard groove on vinyl. In September 2017 he moved to Berlin to find new ideas and to develop his album "Driving to Nowhere" which took him five years but became his most memorable work yet. The sound immediately gained the attention of many artists such as Shifted, Donato Dozzy, Svreca, Neel, Marco Shuttle, Reeko, Psyk, Refracted, and many more. Furthermore, this paved the way for his later recordings on labels such as Avian, Semantica, Non Series, Camera Magmatica, Aura Dinamica, and more which have given him international recognition for D-Leria.

Ribé will always remember that day. That one in which the history of a project that would end up becoming one of the most interesting of the Spanish scene in recent years began. It seemed like a normal day, one more in which his lucubrations took him again and again to techno, to the production of sounds, to his sounds. Suddenly, the idea of starting a project based on modular synthesizers began to flutter in his head naturally and ended up resting in his subconscious, until expanding without brakes throughout his whole being. Yes, that day something forever forever.

From that point on, began in him a process of research and learning, of trial and error and exploration. To relearn what was learned, to put everything that came out of his hands into question, to build, rebuild and deconstruct. Because Ribé was already a skillful producer, but that day, the one in which he decided to take a step further in his career and start messing with those machines of machines called modular synthesizers, everything changed. It was the year 2015. There, between cables, frequencies and transitions, Ribé hardened that heartrending sound that has accompanied him since then on his road. Modular was his perfect escape route, a new door to get the proposal he was looking for, a proposal with unlimited possibilities. A proposal and an endless sound.

That unique sound did of course not go unnoticed and it was soon selected by one of the most important techno labels of the international scene and, with no doubt, essential at a national level: PoleGroup. Exium included his track ‘Deviation‘ in one of the compilations of Oscar Mulero’s label and soon Ribé was called to record his own solo EP in the new project of the house, the sub-label of PoleGroup, Aine. Great artists of the techno scene such as Mulero himself, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann or Antigone, among others, began to include his tracks in their sessions and to make of him one of the new fetish producers.
The next step has turned the scene upside down. Taking as reference some greats among the greats of techno like Surgeon, Blawan or Drumcell, Ribé set up his own live show in which the modular synthesizers, that he learned to love and handle with ease and passion, are protagonists. A genuine live, totally based on pure improvisation, but with a forcefulness and a sense that causes a fascinating effect on the audience that dances to his sounds. Refer- ence clubs in the circuit of Madrid, Ribé’s home, such as Utopia or Cassette have already surrendered to his lucubrations. Because Ribé is the synthesis of a whole life dedicated to techno, without taboos, without rules, but with rigidity, severity, and an almost sickly desire to create new sounds.

All connected to a dusty and old Mackie 1202 vlz mixer and recorded straight on to a DAT recorder. No computer was used in this recording except for the digital recording conversion'.

Luis Rozalén has been into electronic music since almost forever, it was 1981 and he was 11 year old when a 7” from Depeche Mode came into his hands and that fact was pivotal in what was going to happen next. He spent his teenage years in a musically surrounded environment. At some point he got a drum kit as a christmas present when he was 15 and started playing in several bands and projects until he discovered the power of drum machines and synths by the age of 17.

His first electronic output came in the form of synth pop, then evolved into EBM and industrial sounds in the late eighties and after a trip to London in 1990 he discovered the acid house and rave phenomena. Those were the days when some guys from Sheffield started Warp Records and  his ears switched to IDM and Detroit techno via the Biorythm and Retrotechno compilations. Mid nineties, he evolved into what we now call techno, releasing his first track as Hd Substance in Esplendor Geometrico’s label Geometrik Records in 1995. In 1996 his first album ‘Eleven’ saw the light in another cult imprint, Stereophonic Elephant Dance Recordings, as well as a bunch of vinyl Ep’s and the second album in 1998 called ‘Cancer Pop’. 
Then, he was a regular in all local festivals like Sonar, Benicassim or Festimad sharing this touring action with a residence at Soma Experimental Club from 1996 to 2000. In 1993 founded the first Spanish specialized electronic music magazine ‘Undersounds’. The new century started with his project Atlas Records where he teamed up with another producer releasing 10 records that soon came into the hands of the most prominent players of the scene. 

Disenchanted with how things were evolving in the music industry, he started exploring the digital side, releasing four complete albums in several netlabel platforms. Digging deep in the underground and focusing on his residence at Cassette Club in Madrid. 

In 2009 he resurfaced with another full length album called ‘Hardware’, the record somehow reached a Detroit record store and the LP went into the right hands resulting in his first gig in the motor city club The Works in 2010, becoming a regular there, playing live in 2012 at the Movement Festival with his project District 909 alongside Detroit legend Tim Baker. 

Never is too late, and in his 40’s he started travelling the world  playing regularly in Germany, China, Korea, France, Sweden, Finland, Russia, etc. reaching among others impressive clubs as  Berghain or Tresor.

2018 marks his 30 year anniversary in electronic music, keeping him playing techno all over the world, releasing techno in a constant basis, teaching at The Bass Valley, writing techno for Beatburguer.com, Clubbingspain.com, Pole Group or Falling Ethics and releasing other people’s techno in his own label SUBtl.

PWCCA aka Dr Cyanide, born in Madrid on April 26, 1979.
He started in the world of electronic music in 1995, he took his first contact with some dishes in a pub located in his area, driven by a friend who worked in it.
Firstly, he showed progressive and house sounds, but not take long to opt for more underground trends, influenced by large techno producers such as James Ruskin, Richard Polson, Christian Wünsch, Portion reform, Regis or Surgeon among others.
In 1996 and is interested in how to produce electronic music using software and hardware, creating his first beats with a Roland TR 606 and the software for rhythms "Hammer". From that year until 2000, he works as a DJ in various clubs around the city and also gaining experience as a producer.

That same year put into operation with another partner, the only franchise from the famous brand Phrenetic Society, owned by Cristian Varela, where he taught in school and teacher in production Dj midi / audio, adding to these activities, the sale of music and clothes.
This is when he decided to create with his partner, his own record label, called Hardtools, giving life vinyl two references to the brand. 

In 2005 lost contact with the technics, leaving only time to assimilate knowledge as a producer.

Currently it has returned to give life to his label Hardtools, this time digitally, also adding the creation of two other brands for the same function, Basic Form and UK Executes.
 
His works also have been edited on Aine (Pole group), Injected Poison, Newrhythmic, Kobayashi, Donkeyhead, Blackstars corporation, Granulart recordings, MFM, Revolt, Anaoh, Dolma rec, Devotion, Vector Functions, Human recs, Vapourtrail, Subsequent records, Mephyst, Mental records, We call it hard, Luminar records, Recoil, Spectralband, DKN Selections, Concepto hipnotico, Advanced, Armed, Induxtriall records and Konkrezept among others labels.

Noise includes distractions, criticism, and boasting before accomplishing anything. Post-achievement involves clapping and praise. 

A perspective defended on the underground scene is 'Work hard in silence'. The quote carries profound power in its essence: keep hushed, focus on creating, and be authentic.

It discourages boastful behavior that distorts guidance, dilutes clarity, and stirs hesitancy. It can create pressure, reduce enjoyment, and make the journey grueling instead of fulfilling.

Silent effort, however, breeds introspection, concentration, and resilience. It helps you enjoy your work to align it closer to your inner self. It enables progress purely on intrinsic motivation, without external validation.

While applause is flattering, it's fleeting. Instead, distinction is seldom a matter of luck or overnight success.

▸ When techno is in your DNA you don't need additional translation to understand it. This is the case of Hugo Rolan, from Asturias, north of Spain, who has been exposed to techno and futuristic sounds since his adolescence, and now in his maturity, he masters the language to perfection.

Being primarily DJing for two decades, remaining under the radar of the scene, working in conventional day job. In his spare time, he learned production skills, delving into music creation software and hardware, and training hard and quietly until he felt it was time to public his work.

The wait worth it, in 2022 his first work was published on one of the most recognized ceiling labels, Warm Up, managed by Oscar Mulero, a interesting debut album, full of techno.

His second reference is released on one of the most important labels worldwide, Axis Records, owned by Jeff Mills, a work that makes us get closer to his creativity and gives us an idea of where his sound is heading.

Facilitating him works on Incense, Legend 1997, Illegal Alien, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, SUB_tl, Prophet, Semantica, FautSection, Abstract Mechanisms, Edit Select, Fenómenos, West Rules, KeyHole, Voyager and Loopaina Records.

Sarf is one of those artists who stay true to their own values regardless of trends. Since his first steps in electronics, he has shaped progressively his own approach to djing and producing.

Through his own material or his sets, Sarf conveys a complex vision of Techno: dark, mental and percussive, but with subtle industrial elements. His skills as a DJ were quickly noticed in Spain, taking his sound to almost every corner of the Spanish geography.

We have also seen him perform in countries such as Japan, Colombia, France, China, South Korea, among many others.

In 2015, time has come to open his own label Analog Section, a name that purposely emphasizes his dedication to the physical aspect of electronics. In addition to his own outputs, his imprint has hosted the most cutting edge and well established producers such as Alexey Volkov, Developer, Joton, Takaaki Itoh, PWCCA, Viels, Linear Sysem, STNDRD or his partner Kalter Ende, with whom own 232 Reach.
Releases on Newrhytmic, Rhod, Node, Atroc, Default Series, Concerns, Hardtoolds, and many more.
