Coming off the release of his debut of sublime Balearic variations, the Ibiza-based artist Be.Lanuit has been straight back to the studio. The first track off the forthcoming album is called ‘Bayt Madinati’, an opera-sampling electronic elegy with threads going back to the kitsch-cinematic Balearic styles of the 00’s.

We normally wouldn't do things like this but too many people have asked for a download. We're turning a blind eye to our own judgement on cheesy-mashups. So here is one of the bootlegs we made for the 90s mix. We've pulled it out of the project for your enjoyment.

This encapsulates 1999 for us. Cassius - Feeling For You was one of the first records we ever bought. The fact that it had a Les Rythmes Digitales Remix makes it even better. We weren't to know at 12 years old that this song would still be just as playable 14 years later,  and how much of an impact both Cassius and Stuart Price would have on our music tastes while learning to DJ. And what more needs to be said about Outkast? One of the greatest hip-hop acts to ever exist. They were the soundtrack to every house party since the beginning of high school. Big Boi and Andre 3000 in the same studio. How could that go wrong?

After 1.5 years of being the Composer/Producer of another Belgium based act called Villa where he remixed Moby, Gorillaz, Keane, Ali Love and Findlay Brown; sculpted exquisite reworks of Tina Turner, Agneta Falstag and Anita Meyer; scored a summerhit with Beats of Love, and played the best venues and Festivals from Fabric/Social Club/Razzmatazz to Bestival/Oxygen/Pukkelpop the time has come to strike out on his own with a solo project called Moonlight Matters.

Seba's style is hard to pinpoint but certainly has no lack of personality, his versatility is his strongest point and he's always able to adjust to the right mood for any kind of smart-witted melodic dance music with a great wow factor. His music won't just set your feet on fire and tear up a crowd, it will also make your mind tickle in a surprisingly emotional fashion. Starting off with remixes for Adele/Charlotte Gainsbourg/Lana Del Rey/Ellie Goulding/Mark Ronson/The Drums/Digitalism/Hercules And The Love Affair/Metronomy/Clare Maguire/Alex Winston/Pacific!/Is Tropical/Silver Columns and many more pending this new project promises to grow out to a long term eargasm. You can expect well thought out compositions and surgically inserted powerbeats on a bed of timeless sounds and exciting arrangements. Coming from the same little environment as Soulwax, Aeroplane and The Glimmers, Moonlight Matters is definately here to stay...
