SMS For Location, Vol. 6 is our biggest journey yet—a 20-track mixtape full of the raw energy and spirit of Batida, Rumba, Singeli, Amapiano, Hip-Hop, and R&B. It’s our tribute to the dance floors that shaped us and the global sounds that inspire us—blending ancestral rhythms with bold, future-ready beats.

We teamed up with some of our favorite artists—DJ Lag, Pierre Kwenders, UNIIQU3, Branko, Vanyfox, Black Rave Culture, and more—to create something that feels both grounded and free, familiar and full of surprise.

This isn’t just a mixtape. It’s a map of our diasporic sound—a celebration of community, experimentation, and radical connection. From Southern to Eastern Africa and beyond, every track carries that Moonshine spark.

Born in Monte Abraao, a district of Lisbon, NegoO discovered a passion for
discovered a passion for music in his youth.
Passionate about percussions of all kinds and surrounded by other
young promising producers, it is at the age of 17 that he begins to produce
he starts to produce his first songs in the style called "Batida" that he posts on Soundcloud.
NegoO has frequent collaborators such as Vanyfox and Lycox from Principe. During the last year, he joined the Parisian collective Jet Life and participated in the album SMS For Location Vol.5.

“La Haine” is a futuristic and spacey afrobeat, where polyrhythms collide with swirling percussive patterns and deep, resonant bass. The voices of Yend and NegoO drive the track’s momentum, layering textures that feel both organic and otherworldly. Strasbourg-based multidisciplinary artist Yend, brings a vibrant, intricate vocal delivery that adds depth and dynamism. On the production side, NegoO—a Portuguese DJ and producer—infuses “La Haine” with Batida, the raw and percussive dance sound that emerged from Lisbon’s afro-diasporic club scene. Shaped by his upbringing in the neighborhoods that have fostered some of Batida’s biggest names, NegoO delivers a fresh, energetic take on the genre.

"Slow it Down" does anything but. Featuring UNIIQU3, the unstoppable New Jersey DJ, rapper, and producer who helped shape and globalize Jersey Club, the track is a high-voltage surge of energy and movement. From her early days as a go-to vocalist in the club scene to remixing classics like Crystal Waters’ "100% Pure Love", UNIIQU3 has always pushed the boundaries of dance music. On "Slow it Down", she delivers her signature club-driven intensity, fusing pulsating beats with an explosive, genre-defying sound made for the dancefloor.

“Monkey Effects” is pure, unfiltered release — a masterclass in building and breaking tension. DJ Lag weaves together bold rhythms, warped synths, and pulsing compression to create a high-voltage anthem that feels like a futuristic marching band on the loose. It’s a call to explore, to let go, to move without thinking twice. With every beat, “Monkey Effects” sparks that childlike instinct to play and experiment, turning the dancefloor into a space of freedom, curiosity, and raw energy.

“Moon” is a lush, hypnotic journey carried by Kelly Gomez’s smooth, angelic vocals, flowing in Portuguese, English, and French. Floating over a spacey Afrobeat groove, her voice becomes a melodic invocation to the moon — a tribute to its fragile beauty and quiet power. The track opens with a delicate piano line that sets the tone, while DJ Satelite and DJ Gálio’s rich percussion and textured production build into something that feels both intimate and expansive — a slow-burning invitation to lose yourself on the dancefloor.
