During the dawn of the 20th century, jazz music spread its roots and blossomed into a national phenomenon of sound, a celebration of life, and an expression of the mind and soul.  After the musical boom of the 1950’s and 60’s, jazz began to take on new shapes and by the 1980’s and 90’s, many were left clueless as to the future of such a rich and complex musical genre.  Now, over a century after its conception, jazz music is returning to its roots and once again reinventing itself with influences from a much fuller musical spectrum and generational perspective.

The Moonshyne Players are an eclectic blend of vintage jazz incorporating modern grooves that transcend traditional jazz standards. The core sound includes sizzling vocals, walking bass-lines, boppin’ drums and swingin’ piano and organ while also offering the versatility of performing in arrangements that range from a one man band to a full ten piece or more. Whether they play in bars, private parties wine & spirits tastings, clubs, or coffee shops,  The Moonshyne Players always feel at home when bee-boppin’ with their shape-shifting sounds that span jazz, blues, rock, funk, R&B, latin, and more… what styles will you hear when they’re on stage?  Well, it depends on the stage.
