some old tracks i made in the summer of 2020. amateur but i still like em, and they're worth putting out. 

these songs were inspired by the Katana Zero OST, as well as the Calamity Mod OST, so big thanks to Ludowic, Bill Kiley, and DM DOKURO for being so badass and influential. 

This is the first of many SYNTHWORKS collections. I already have a lot of material put together for the next one, so stay tuned, i suppose!

"A sprawling city devoid of any sunlight or greenery, hidden away in a land that most will never approach. 
Now run by gangs of masked humanoids who wildly vary in size, this is not a safe place for outsiders, nor the original inhabitants of whatever this city once was. 

While a lone traveler may be able to pass through safely, there is always the chance of getting caught in the crossfire of an endlessly raging turf war; tribes of masked men fight over seemingly nothing. Perhaps they forgot what they originally wanted…? or worse yet, maybe the exhilarating bloodshed was the goal from the start.”

On more than one occasion, these demons turned their weapons on me, as if my uncovered face disturbed their skirmishing. Though I was tempted to defend myself, I never bared arms, nor a veil. I would rather flee than become one of them.”

Beneath Crypt City is a culture of party-loving sewer dwellers. They are hiding away from the monsters on the surface, and have built a neon-smeared sanctuary with one goal in mind: to completely escape from the world above them, both physically and mentally; constantly seeking the next high.

”These people welcomed me with open arms; a jarring feeling, but pleasant nonetheless. They did not fight, as they said nothing worth fighting over, had nothing to take from each other… communicating in a strange dance beyond my understanding. Despite this, I did not quite feel safe. Like a drug, the longer I stayed, the harder it felt to leave. I did not trust this place; the air itself was intoxicating, the water too good to be true. Should you follow in my footsteps, be wary."

"This place is a wasteland. It is a field of salt miles in length, bound only by jagged mountains of rock far too steep to climb. Once again, I had no destination, and the distant scraping and groaning of machinery offered no comfort.

I had made it perhaps half a mile towards the other side of the valley before the beast showed itself - a massive construct, some sort of stronghold, moving on treads that shredded into the terrain underneath it. In a place such as this, there was no place to hide, and no sense in running. I waited as the iron titan approached.

I am not sure what things are, as I've yet to see past their armor.. although maybe that's for the best. If there is nothing within, I shudder at the thought of metal being animate on its own."
