For our thirteenth release we introduce a new artist to the family: P.E.O. Originally from France, this globetrotter has started building a name for himself in Montreal, Canada, and now Brussels, as he dives deeper into the electronic scene. His warm and enticing sound caught our attention and resulted in the Insane About It EP. A step out of our comfort zone at Heroic, going deeper than we ever have before. Recorded in the Red Bull Studios Amsterdam.

Insane About It
P.E.O comes through with a record that’s both touching yet driving. Melodic deep house at its finest with many instrumental influences. Full of guitars, deep bass and piano keys, the track drives you on a mesmerizing journey to sunsets and reminiscence. One for easy listening, for lovers, or for the afterparty. Insane About It leaves you completely satisfied - yet wanting more.

Remixes
P.O.G! delivers a warm and uplifting house banger, with vocals throughout and the catchiest hook. Then we go one deeper with Jack Zwarts, with driving deep house at it’s finest - made for the dance floors. Nicolas Haelg is set on conquering hearts with a hugely soulful sax and vocal heavy take, which climax brings the release to the perfect end. Insane About It.

Though a sometimes common misconception lingers over electronic music as being cold and soulless, the opposite couldn't be more true for French-born/London-Marseille-based producer Abstraxion (Harold Boué). Following the 2013 release of Break of Lights, HAKT Recordings is proud to present Abstraxion's latest offering, I Can't, available December 08, 2014. 

Wasting no time on a dramatic intro, Abstraxion dives in headfirst, immediately commanding attention with the eponymous opener. The track's 6-minute landscape unearths Abstraxion's signature warm melodies, dreamy basslines and nostalgic undercurrents (only this time with a more dancefloor-friendly tempo), paving the way for the rest of the EP. Hypnotic sounds ebb and flow on the sci-fi-esque "Never Thought" before Abstraxion unleashes a sinister , propulsive riff akin to a jet revving up for takeoff somewhere in the middle. Brief but profound, it makes for an unforgettable surprise before the track winds down back to earth. 

Rounding out the EP are two remixes for "Around Me." A bouncy bassline and chunky, wobbly synths abound in Fairmont's take, while My Favorite Robot closes with a minimal, psychedelic groove.

If you were touring the dancefloors of the world as much as Alec Troniq and Gabriel Vitel have done throughout the last two years, you’d be inevitably becoming “aeronauts”, or, “The Aviating”, so to speak. And that’s precisely the title of their new EP on Broque which, by the way, is their first joint release as we are proud to highlight. But after all their previous joint works and two years of touring together around the world, this seemed the logical next step anyway. Those who are familiar with the swinging yet narrative house music by Alec and Gabriel know best that their works are usually clocked right for the dancefloor. However, on “The Aviation” their songs demonstrate, that, in the first place, they are precisely that: real songs, that tell stories about clubs and festivals, but even more so, about everything before and after the glamourous limelight moments. Stories about being on the road, about airports, hotels and all the emotional states one is living through even more intensely when traveling. And as it is with all good stories: they want to be heard.
