Flabbergasted we stood, at the sight so sweet,
Beautiful souls, in love's tender retreat.

The perfect Sunday antidote: A Voyage of Spirits by Funky Chap.

Funky Chap, hailing from Lausanne in Switzerland, recorded this set in his little flat overlooking Lac Léman with the snowy mountains on the other side appearing slowly through the clouds whilst the sunshine caused an orange tinge on the clouds.  

With his musical world filled with groove and unexpectedness, Funky Chap’s idea behind this set was to do something different, putting unpredictable pieces of music together, with a hope of bringing about a few smiles and some music that the listeners haven’t heard before.

A Voyage of Spirits by Funky Chap ⚗ VOS 091

I originally thought this recording was lost but a couple of weeks ago it landed back with me. There was a definite magic in the air for this set, staged at a particularly lush festival site full of the best of the best, peak festival, the Sunday evening.

This set is dedicated to my brother and dear mentor Daniel Webber who left us a few days before the festival, his spirit lives in this one x

MOONTIDE - Dragon Dreaming 2022 -  DJ Set

One hand on the controls and the other hanging on tight. DJ'ing on top of a fluffy pink bunny at 5mph down the streets of Black Rock City shortly after sunset was one helluva ride to remember! Wide-eyed and big-eared BRC residents hopped on board as we made our way out to the open playa. The crew pulled up to a lioness with a human torso blowing fire out of its paws and I rolled out this playful side of the Apukuna sound. Bounce, smile and bounce some more friends. We are at the end of 2022 and as tradition goes I am sharing my Cosmo-vision 2022 mix. My set from Love Burn 2023, deep in the fairy forest at the magical Cymatica camp, playing out of a bus that was being swallowed whole by an RV. Great crowd, lovely warm vibes, banging sound, amazing scene. This is my set from Saturday afternoon at Rainbow Serpent . It was my 3rd year to play the festival and the first time playing in the day! I decided to play with some lighter moods and build a more colourful story over the hour.
