This is a live recording of my set from Moontribe, October 2022. I had been collecting a lot of this music since the start of the pandemic and had been wanting to curate a set to play it out for some time. There's an encore at the end, as per request from the dance floor.

This set was designed & released in 2007 for a friend's 60th birthday party. It was a singular exploration into mostly late 90's/early aughts Ninja Tune and K7 releases, many of which are not nearly as available now. Dubby trip hop meets funk.

This is a live recording of my opening set to celebrate my good friend Treavor Moontribe's 50th birthday. The evening took place at a Moroccan-themed restaurant in Hollywood, and Treavor played a 4-hour set after mine, so we were able to really dial in the flow. 

I've been collecting some tasty slow house music in the last few years without any real place to play them, and this set gave me a chance to flex that muscle a little, toward the end of the set. I had fun with it.

Easing into the dancefloor a super vibey neo Cumbia Terror/Cactus & Cuervo Cuervo collab opens the set. Following is a deep organic house set of uniquely Afro/Latin rhythms threaded with the ecstatic timbre of village voices, seductive brass, percolating percussion and heartfelt melodies. The tempo cascades and falls throughout the mix...and ends with a parking spot in your melodic heart.

It's not often that two DJs seem to have a telepathic connection with each other, but this set would be as close as I have ever gotten to that. Having played many events together, in the desert, warehouses and clubs, it was at my own Open Air party that we finally decided to play back 2 back and boy am I glad we did. This collection of atmospheric deepstep tracks is further along on the continuum of the Subtextures compilation that I put together for Interchill Records back in 2016. It took a few years to assemble and was made for the digital artist Android Jones (www.androidjones.com) who generously let us use a piece of his phenomenal art for the Subtextures cover design.

Summertime pool parties - one of my favorite settings for playing music. This set was recorded at the tail end of one such party in 2018. The music had been more energetic all day and I started playing as the sun was setting, while the host started up the fire pit and the last of the revelers gathered around, not quite ready to head home yet. Gentle beats with a little more emotion.
