Das Hamburger Label @hfn-music bringt zum dritten Mal eine Ausgabe der Reihe „hamburg elektronisch“ raus. Damit präsentiert das Imprint den Sound einer Stadt, in der weit mehr in Bewegung ist als ein paar Schiffe. Die EP „Teknomusi“ ist mit vier Werken bestückt, die gemeinsam am 26. Februar 2016 erscheinen. „Die Serie hat bisher lokale Größen und aufstrebende Künstler zusammengebracht“, betont das Label. Drei von ihnen, die von @erobique-1, @wareika und @oliver-huntemann, sind exklusiv für das Release produziert worden. Abgerundet wird die Zusammenstellung von @remute's „Summer Slump“. (...)

For "Timelapse", we called upon Australia's very own, Matthew Doyle, better known to us all as - Matter. With some fantastic releases on Proton, Balkan Connection, FutureForm, Stellar Fountain and many more quality imprints, Matter’s signature style involves deep synth lines, driving bass and pulsating rhythms. His touch is exactly what we were looking for to give the massive original a twist. Matter approaches his rendition in a more dubbier affair, slowly filtering in the memorable ‘Timelapse’ riff while additional soaring synth lines add to the intensity, creating a monstrous moment when it all unleashes.

Space meets rhythm on Moonwalks Galactica EP, brimful of intergalactic grooves in the shape of four dance-heavy original tracks. Opener Galactica sets the tone with electric pads and spacious, echo-ridden synths that create a playful yet compelling melody with a highly memorable bassline. Euplea is arguably the most stirring cut of the four, with a whirlwinding pad and incessant bass that emerge from the first bar. Nocturna brings forth equally spatial sounds, arched around a massive build up with a breathtaking drop. Its the perfect drama-infusing track, an ace in the sleeve when deployed at the right timing. Channeling huge drums in a tribal-like ambiance, Endless creates suspense through minimal layers and lofty pads, rounding off the release in a well-timed manner.
