I recently discovered the sounds of the Swedish folkartist Merit Hemmingson through a friend of mine.  She´s been active in the folk-scene being a singer, composer and organist since the mid 50´s. However, she is mostly known for her records "Huuva! - Swedish folk-music on beats" and "Trollskog: more Swedish folk-music on beats" which was released in the beginning of the 70´s.  The records contains elements of swedish folk music combined with funky drums developing into groovy hammond inspired tracks, which I blew me away and for a moment I could imagine hearing somebody drop some verses on top of that. With that being said, I got a spontaneous idea to just see how it sounded if I´d try to throw in some acapellas from one of my favorite rap-groups: Slum Village!

It resulted in a double-tracker where we for a moment might get a chance to hear how it would sound if Merit Hemmingsson packed her instruments and paid a visit to the slums of Detroit.
