When you should be in bed resting, you find your inner muse and the creative mind takes hold. This is harvesting the dreamtime. Ride that wave of inspiration and fall deep into the night as we explore further into the evolving wold of chill trap (dreamtrap, if you will) and ambient bass music.

Otherworld 2024 was arguably the best regional I've ever burned at, and Skybar absolutely smashed it! I really didn't know what I had signed up for when I showed up to play my Friday night set, but I knew that I had to follow Candy Whip, so I prepared a filthy mix of Bass House & Breakbeats. 

However, I actually went "off book" around 2/3rds of the way into my set. I was getting super frustrated over some technical issues that I could not figure out. Thankfully, the lovely Justin Barnes noticed a loose RCA cable coming out of my controller, which explained what I was hearing. Finally able to enjoy myself, I decided to end with a sillier, more troll-y direction, which I think represents Skybar pretty well :) Enjoy!

This song is the result of a spontaneous session which happened in February 2017 in Sofia/Bulgaria at the recording studio of Koka Mass Jazz.. Starting from scratch and adding instrument by instrument 'Back To Vienna' turned fast into a hommage to the Vienna School sound of the early 2000s.
All recordings were done in one afternoon and some arranging and post-production later in March.
