live recording of a rehearsal...me and my band freestyled this & i really like it...gonna record it, add some backgrounds etc...to all my folks that have been jammin with me for awhile....thank you!!!! I'm working on increasing the output on my end...i write lots of songs that never make it to you and that won't be the case much longer (hope you enjoy!!!)...muah!

Sunny Stormy Spooky

This is an official release in 2008.  This joint is still being discovered.  Fortunately, it is a considered an underground soul classic.  Coultrain is one of my favorite songwriter/singer/vocal/arranger this exists in this day and time.  I am fortunate enough to work with him and the music only gets better and better...  I hope y'all enjoy as much as we enjoyed creating Love...Meaning.

Since the original kinda copped "Family Affair" at the end, I went ahead and took it there too.
I also threw in some "Bennie & The Jets" at the end.
The rhythm guitar is a tribute to Nile Rodgers (aka the best rhythm guitarist of all time).
The drum sound is me trying to cop the sound of MJ's Off The Wall record. 

My idea of a good cover is throwing elements of several different songs or artists into the mix.

Coffee in cup holder, key in ignition, seatbelt fastened, Moot Booxlé tape in player, windows down, volume cranked...This is going to be a long drive, but you've never felt so free.............

Here's my take on the Stylistics classic "People Make The World Go Round" written by Thom Bell and Linda Creed. 

I've always loved this tune and wanted to do something a little different with it rhythmically...Lots of little time signature changes in here. 
I decided to go with my sampled Rhodes rather than the real one because I like the way it "speaks".
