This is an archive of The Clean Up Hour. Tonight, we're taking it back to the summer of 2000, when Bill Clinton let us all have GPS in our cars, helping usher in the security state of today. Hip Hop continued to be in a bit of a funky place, still under the influence of No Limit's sound, and 90s mentalities, but with others wanting to bask in the new millennium's energy. I was 6 at the time, so I can't say I remember it vividly, but I sang the Nickelodeon version of Who Let The Dogs Out like it was nobody's business, so even then, I was starting to turn into a mischievous lil shit. It was also the summer of Marshall Mathers, a summer that, like Gambino on the end of Camp, we never left.
