A fresh soft dreamy trancy track with rolling groove and pop/trap inspired vocals.

The Various Artists "Trancefirugations" combines crystalline textures and organic matter, dark ambiences and soaring atmospheres, bewitching melodies and intoxicating rhythms.

Because nothing is fixed, because techno never stops inventing. Because we like to transform ourselves, to search, to explore.

"Trancefigurations" is a journey that seeks to activate the body's organic reactions, but not to imitate them but to create new ones, it is an invitation to seek fluidity in the poetic freedom that we keep deep inside us.

Through music, the artists offer us a way of grasping reality that goes hand in hand with a desire to separate ourselves from it. Each track is endowed with a sensitivity that offers a new being to the body, that reveals what is hidden from us in the usual perception of the world.

It is an incantation, a spell that makes us observe what happens when the human being is the subject of the trancefiguration, manifesting its own nature and not that of another.

We are proud to gather on this Various some talented artists of the techno and trance scene, with singular universes, who created what did not exist to transform reality.

This was a fun track to make. I wanted to try and make something purely noisy and intense, but always delivering a feeling that 100 times more power was still fighting to get out, like the potency of human nature. After deciding on a basic chord structure, it was just a matter of layering and layering, which gave an interesting interference result, you can hear the different waves interacting to give beating patterns.

The layers were made from some Operators in Ableton with Guitar Rigs and Saturators, plus a Moog Minitaur with a fast LFO with high resonance, plus Andy Ramsay’s overdriven guitar amps and speakers re-recorded, plus Phil Kieran’s tape saturation/distortion - it’s basically a right mess! You can even hear some of the leftovers on Phil’s tape at the end, with him speeding it up and slowing it down. Interestingly, that Moog on there was the only analogue synthesiser used in the whole album, the rest was all sourced digitally, albeit with some subtle analogue compression and analogue mixing desk throughs at the end.

Church Organ Ambience

This is a collaborative track that I did with the legend that is Phil Kieran! It came out with that unmistakable Phil Kieran sound, with the kick focused bass and rhythm, and wonky twisted synths, and in spite of sounding a bit odd, when I played it out for the first time a few weeks ago it completely smashed it, inducing some sort of fit like behaviour in the attendees (who were all fine in reality just incase you wondered). It's coming out on Phil's PKR label imminently!
