Really wanted the drop to happen after the pitchy snare roll and was expecting something completely different, but so glad it waited and was what it was. The double time at the end was a bit sudden.

The High

Lies You Keep is a song about the unbinding of two souls. A realization that there is no saving something that once was. After holding on for so long, you realize it’s tearing you apart & ripping you to pieces. Pulling you down into depths you didn’t know existed. Through this journey, you can either become defeated or you can rise again, finding yourself through the tears. When you both fight & fight for something to give, you realize that “give” has a threshold & there’s only so long you can fight. Ultimately deciding that parting ways is the best for each other, respectfully.
