For Mix 035, we’re sharing something new for the Audio Social Mix Series. This is our first live recording, captured on Halloween at The Rattle.  Andrew, aka Chrome Wolves, is not only one of our friends, but one of the genuine and funniest people we know, and an extremely talented producer. His set went off that night and we’re glad we captured the magic and are able to share it. 

With over twenty years of production experience and fifteen years behind the decks, Chrome Wolves brings a deep musical foundation shaped by hip hop, trip hop, and global rhythms. This Halloween set leans into the darker side of dance music while keeping everything danceable and approachable, a balance he always strives for.

His connection to community is just as strong as his sound. As he puts it, “The thing I love the most about the music community is watching like minded folks of all experiences and backgrounds find common ground and love through our shared passion for the sonic journey and how audio makes us feel.” It is this spirit that makes us so happy to call him a friend and have him be a part of our circle. 

He also leaves us with a bit of wisdom. “Everyone is going to have their opinion, but we got into this for our love of creating. Trust yourself. Authenticity is the best sound out there.”

Baddies on deck! Coming in hot with a certified winter warmer for Sublimix #174 is Oregon's own, SumYumz! She is a DJ and co-founder of Womb Tang; an all female DJ Collective. She brings a yummy blend of old-school anthems & current day hiphop, r&b and bass tracks. Bringing feminine flare and energy to the function, she bridges the best of the past and the present. Her goal is to curate sounds that are fun, nostalgic and turn people on.


"I wanted to take this opportunity to make a mix that’s a bit more mellow than what I’ve been dropping at shows lately, still full of bass, still juicy, but with a slower, sexier mood. The Audio Social Mix Series is stepping into its WombTang era. It is a takeover, and we are proud to feature Bee.Ni$e to kick things off.

She is one of the founding members of WombTang, a women led movement rooted in support, empowerment, and creating space for one another in and beyond the music scene. This is everything we love, which is why sharing their sound felt essential. WombTang is more than a DJ collective. It is a shared commitment to uplifting women and amplifying voices that deserve to be heard.

Hailing from Salt Lake City with formative years spent in the Pacific Northwest, Bee.Ni$e was drawn to dance music through the community surrounding it. We have had the honour of seeing her play and party alongside her, and her sets always carry intention and energy that pull you in and warm you up.
Her Audio Social mix was inspired by snowboarding and the feeling of moving through powder, tree lines, and open space. It is a vibe curated with flow and confidence in mind. Bee.Ni$e has always gravitated toward hip hop and rap while riding, and this mix brings together a collection of music she loves, selected to inspire self belief in your craft, your art, and whatever you are passionate about.

Her sound leans into down tempo and more relaxed grooves, offering something different from much of the electronic music landscape. It is intentional, expressive, and rooted in feeling. She shares that what she values most about her music community is the unconditional love, support, and encouragement she has received to keep pursuing what makes her stand out, especially when playing sounds that move outside expected norms.

That same honesty carries into the advice she offers to other DJs and producers. Never stop believing in yourself or your own taste in music. Play what you love to listen to, because chances are others will connect with it too.

Originally from Winnipeg, Jeff Riel played guitar in several bands before moving to British Columbia in 2012. He has since become a solo artist and started producing, further expanding his sound to incorporate electronic elements. His live sets create a relaxed atmosphere but can be wildly psychedelic to those paying attention. His tracks are completely original and blend a unique style of spacey, downtempo beats, smoked out grooves, and layers of dreamy guitar riffs, all wrapped up into this project known as More Like Space.
