JUSTICE

Moreik is a Spanish DJ who began his work as a professional DJ in 1995 under the alias of Dj Loop or Luppo. His first influences go back to the early and mid-eighties thanks to clubs in Madrid (his hometown) such as Bagoas, Baile el baile or Estación Berlín, where he discovered the avant-garde styles of the moment such as synthpop, Italo disco, new wave, cool and dark wave, gothic rock and afterpunk.

It is at the end of this decade when he comes into contact with the recently appeared and emerging purely electronic dance music and shortly after his professional career begins.

In his career, he has gone through a wide variety of musical styles such as EBM, New Beat, Eurobeat, Rave, Dark Wave, Trance, Techno, House, Deep House, Tech-house, predominantly in his sets acid rhythms and synt/ strong bass not exempt from melodies

After a period of "stand by" for personal reasons where he followed the musical news from the front line, he resumed his way of creating sound atmospheres.

Currently his main hallmark is a somewhat eclectic selection, influenced and loaded with styles as diverse as dark disco, minimal wave, cold wave, new beat, dark wave, electronic, EBM.

Cette semaine sur C Lab on reçoit l'espagnol Moreik (@moreik). Natif de Madrid, il commence sa carrière de DJ professionnel en 1992, un peu à l’arrache et sans aucune formation. À l’époque, connu sous les noms de DJ Loop et Lupo, il passe de la pop et de la dance commerciales, mais c’est l’occasion pour lui, en jouant dans des petits clubs, de se faire la main et d’acquérir de l’expérience, pour progressivement affirmer son propre style. Il en vient à créer ses propres soirées Open Club qu’il organise dans plusieurs clubs de la ville.
L’aventure continue dans les grands clubs de Madrid comme Nature, Alien, Galax, Heaven et bien d’autres. Moreik participe à de grands événements comme le Marlboro Tour ou la Teddy Smith Party, mais aussi des raves clandestines et des petites soirées privées plus expérimentales. On a pu également le voir au festival de Benicassin, dans des clubs d’Ibiza, au Sala Plural de Pampelune etc. Il devient résident du Tuareg à Mojácar en Andalousie et  des soirées Locomotion au Mambo à Ibiza.
Pour raisons personnelles, il met entre parenthèses cette longue carrière, ça ne l’empêche pas de suivre ce qui se passe dans le monde de la musique électronique. C’est à ce moment qu’il crée son alias Moreik sous lequel il crée ses productions influencées par les nombreux styles qu’il affectionne comme la Dark Disco, Slow Techno, Space Disco, Dark Wave, Cosmic Disco, Italo Disco, Tech House, Minimal Wave, Cold Wave, Synth Wave, New Beat, Electronica, EBM, Electro Wave, Gothic Wave, Post Punk, New Wave, Industrial Wave.
