Some very fond memories of mine are celebrating Carnival with my Peruvian step-father and his family and I remember being fully engulfed by the music, the culture and the people. I take that with me everywhere I go. A combination of these childhood memories and my late teens spent in Germany, where my mothers side of the family are from, has resulted in the sound you hear today. Across 17 tracks, Maloca, Vol. 2 features both label family and exciting debuts with the likes of Farsight, Griffit Vigo, and DJ JM returning to the imprint. The rest of the compilation sees knockout contributions from the likes of Bambounou, Flore, Konduku, Tristan Arp, NVST, De Grandi, Neida, Cheb Runner, Malo2k, Leese, Ultima Esuna & Destrata, Mika Oki, M I M I and Space Drum Meditation. The artwork is by Brussels-based painter Anastasia Bay who’s work presents a renewed vision of the human figure. Oscillating between abstraction and figuration, Anastasia Bay’s work is all about contrast and balance. The choice of a precise fragment of reality in her works dissolves any narration. »

Bambounou - Tboujeh

Australian NHS boss Galtier and UK label Synes co-founder Druid team up for a collaborative EP 'Stone Hardware'. The EP’s four tracks are a collection of solo works and collaborative efforts from both producers recorded throughout the duration of late 2020 and early 2021, taking form as a hybrid collection of club-ready dancefloor destroyers.

The established end product of this EP is evident in the release’s title – an organic, primitive sound palette that frequents Galtier’s dynamic sound as heard in the last few years, combined with Druid’s mechanized futurism taken straight from the streets of Neo-Tokyo. Each producer has offered a distinctive focus that they have merged together into one evolving, unanticipated synthesis of proto and post-earthly sound.

Addict de la future riddim et des sonorités Ghetto Techno, il sort pour la premiere fois un EP signé en label cette année chez PATA NEGRA. Une annonce qui en cache (d'après lui) bien d’autres puisque l’artiste est en production d’un live hybride pour la fin d’année 2024 ! Soyons attentifs.ves, QAHÖG aime surprendre sur scène et en studio.

Sonorités tribales, orientales, mécaniques, abstraites, lourdes, très lourdes, F is F est un lâcher prise artistique one shot, soit ça sort, soit ça dégage. Une création libre de toutes normes et obligations tiktokiennes, un direct dans les tripes pour faire vibrer toutes les foules à l’oreille underground.
