Nuestro Planeta
Nuestro Planeta was forged from loving music with MC’s and big bass, while wanting to create a conscious platform for lifting up voices and artists that were predominantly LGBTQI+, First Nations, Black, and People of Colour. After running the first party in June 2018, Bec and Lizzy were given a slot on Skylab Radio. Since then, the Nuestro Planeta sound and vibe has been turned up across a range of different events and spaces in Melbourne. Nuestro Planeta, with BBY.B and Lizzynice at the helm, has held parties at Angel Music Bar - most recently hosting their first international artist, Hugs&Kisses, the Gasometer, Northcote Social Club, Crazy Arms and even Scienceworks as a part of the Due West Arts Festival in 2019. Nuestro Planeta has also played at events such as Vollyspot at Fairfield Ampitheatre, Precog, Thickwave X Melbourne Music Week, Umami, and Wax’o Paradiso’s 2019/2020 NYE event.

MGN - The UK born, Melbourne based techno moniker of producer and educator Sam Morgan is pleased to announce the release of his “Spring EP” on Sydney's Touch of Loft WAVS label. 

MGN is first and foremost a lover of all things musical with an extensive knowledge and passion for a myriad of musical landscapes. His first musical memory being hearing the real cannons on Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, he was immediately drawn to a percussive avenue of musical exploration, and started playing drums at the age of 9 to many a rock and indie band. An obsession with the darker side of prog rock along the lines of Tool led him to explore ever more strange and exotic genres. It wasn’t until the likes of Massive Attack and Aphex Twin found their way to his ears, and a pivotal moment of hearing Orbital at Glastonbury Festival that his love of electronic music began. 

Over a span of a 15 year production career, countless hours have been spent in the studio continually shaped and inspired by MGN’s growing exploration of different musical genres and disciplines. Many a sleepless hour in London’s early 2000’s squat party scene and Europe’s labyrinthian clubbing culture led MGN to settle on a darkly emotive and percussive side of techno. A purist at heart, his sound is always an effort to recreate the pivotal moments experienced at the most challenging and mind altering moments experienced on the dancefloor, all the while grounded in a subtle primality that grounds the listener into the present moment.
