(interview below)
Based in Manchester UK, Concierge has been richly submerged in musical prowess given then city’s past and present reputation for producing popular figures across a whole spectrum of genres. Holding residencies with Iniquity and Formation (formerly The Bakery) has given concierge a regular export to the region. His music is characterised by the early beginnings of techno through the 90s, raw, layered, loopy and accented with broken beats to bridge between shifts in energy.
 
INTERVIEW
You hold residencies at Iniquity and Formation in Liverpool. How does playing regularly for a consistent crowd shape the way you think about music?
 
Ideas from the studio don’t always translate to a dance floor, having a regular place to export and test in a comfortable environment helps me continuously shape both production and Djing. I never take this for granted, I owe a lot of my development to the Iniquity/Formation team and their crowds!

What artists, inside or outside of techno, have shaped you the most?
 
I’m shaped a lot from the 90s during the ‘House Of God’ era in Birmingham. Party regulars Female, Surgeon and Regis still play a pivotal role in selection and creative choices with production. Outside of techno is more difficult, I wouldn’t say anything outside of techno shapes my sound directly, but If I need to clear my headspace to produce then I’m frequently listening to 2 bands; Beach Fossils and American Football.

What’s next for Concierge – upcoming projects, directions, or experiments you’re excited to explore?
 
I’ve always been a strong advocate for self releasing. It’s flexible, financially rewarding and above all, it lets you tell your story exactly how you intend.
It’s not the most direct route for exposure but I prefer having more granular control over how I display my work in the way i see best fit. I think that’s my next endeavour.

Music has always been my language of liberation, a way to express the unspoken and connect inner worlds with outer realities. Based in Stockholm/Sweden, Lakej [ Lákeɪ ] emerges from a long heritage of Swedish techno. After many years of explorations to refine his sound, he debuted on Adriana Lopez label Grey Report with the solo EP Structural Cohesion. This debut presented a theme that would guide not only his sound but also his concepts and titles to this current date resulting in his own label and artistic platform: Solitär.

With a huge love for details and rhythmic structures his music has evolved into an introspective, futuristic and yet timeless sound. With intricate textures, atmospheres and deep driving rhythms his music is constantly pushing forward contributing to the current modern underground techno scene. 

Since the debut his output has been steady on well established labels such as Semantica, NON series, Faut Section, Loopaina Records, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Soma and Kazerne (Mord).

AgainstMe is a Berlin-based Greek DJ, producer, live act resident of SMUT Athens and core member of USM Recordings.

Starting his musical journey at 17, his project AgainstMe was born from the raw energy of Lesvos rave scene in 2017. His sound blends hypnotic rhythms, deep atmospheres, and relentless energy, a reflection of his own inner evolution.
