Dramatic, devastating, dark romantic, mental upheaval – Frozen Light presents “Innig”, the sixth album CD by Morgen Wurde. Grotesque music that zooms deep into souls, magnifying emotions as if perceived through a burning lens. An engulfing ethereal stream of feelings, making the listener drift through the human condition in slow motion. Cinematic sound masses that aim for intensity and vigorousness, for majestic and threatening ambiguity.

After five albums and contributions to recent episodes of the long-serving annual Pop Ambient compilation series on Kompakt Records, Wolfgang Röttger (from Kiel at the Baltic Sea in Germany) devotes himself to this unique album with a focus on vocals, setting the unfathomable wonder of the Dasein to emotive music, creating the "Morgen Wurde" form of haunting lyricism.

In addition to diverse sample sources that were the subject of transformation, two prolific instrumentalists were involved:
Alexander Mottok, a proficient musician, conductor of several orchestras, as well as violinist and composer, and Vicente Bueso alias Science Teheran, a great experimenting pianist and composer.

A delirious melodious mix of ambient, neoclassical, industrial and ritual music.

I looked on as the saber came close to me-as tragedy unfolded I got the urge to flee-when we walk in the middle of the night-you shouldn't be scared of unholy things that bite-

As we walk away from this dreadful fight-far away from this forgotten land-when history was broken-

Today the Welsh Senedd (Parliament) has outlawed smacking children.

Jeremiah was a naughty boy
His daddy told him so
Though he tried to be a good boy
and he tried with all his might
He couldn't make them happy
He never seemed to get it right

Veronique was pale these days
At times he'd see her shaking
I love you mummy he would say
To try and make her better
But that just seemed to make things worse
It just seemed to upset her

I'll look after us mummy
Jeremiah said
Stroking Veronique gently as she lay upon the bed
Let's go to the picnic on Saturday
That would be lots of fun
Perhaps, if we ask her nicely
Dominique could come?

Your daddy is a nasty man
and he's never coming back
When Jeremiah thought about
The things that he would lack
He wouldn't miss his daddy
Or his shouting or his smacks

Summer Storm

I been up all night
I should be sleeping,
Winds are blowing strong.
the roof is caving in,
I'm just waiting til dawn.

Its blowing a gale
and my ship set sail,
Left me here on the docks.
I should be counting sheep,
but i'm just watching the clock.

This mind don't rest,
I try my best to gently 
shut it down.
Seems i'm stuck while the wheels 
are spinning around...

Its changing form
this summer storm,
playing tricks in the night.
