For three years the label has been an important tool to spread around the world Cuba's finest Techno artists. For this special release, they put together a V.A with 20 tracks by artists from Cuba and many other parts of the world, combining Industrial, Acid, Trance, Rave & IDM.

Three years have passed since the Abstraction project first saw the light. Designed as a tool to give a voice to the young generation of Techno artists in Cuba. In this time, many interesting things have happened and new faces have been added to the imprint.

On the occasion of this event we have put together a compilation of twenty tracks. Inside we can find cuts from the main producers in the country and several internetional guests.  
Styles and influences such as Industrial, Acid, Trance, Rave or IDM describe the tone of this release. And so we close a year in which chaos has taken over the world and the scene has been seriously affected, but we have the hope that better days will come.

To celebrate its 2nd anniversary, Ola Radio is launching a series of three compilations, bringing together 43 artists with plural aesthetics, like Ola Radio’s musical selection.

« Ola Compile vol.1 - Bande passante » is the first in this three-part series. Its release is scheduled for January 14, 2021 (Ola Radio's anniversary).
The release inaugurates the meeting between several universes in a free creative space where downtempo, dub, techno, leftfield and ambient intersect to form a coherent and nuanced whole. This is the result of 14 artists of multiple influences, from Bordeaux and elsewhere, all driven by the same love and passion for music.

SIMPLE EXPOSITION are Insulaire and Blumm, two members of the long-standing Bordeaux-based French crew tplt, join forces on a new adventure, mixing their various influences to forge a new sound, hopefully crafted for the future. Away from the decks like all of us, they forcefully returned to the coziness of home studio and spent the never-to-be-talked-about-again-year brewing with care the material upon which they could one day return behind the controls of a sound system.

Embracing different facets of human nature, the tracks step by step tell a story of worries and excitement, doubts and fears. The release has united brilliant artists from different parts of the world: Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and France. Today we premiere the contribution from Russian artist Meshes. Combining techno with punk, melancholy with aggression, mysticism with sensuality, the artist delivers an infectious body cut which stays with you until the very end…

Arsonist Recorder - Vaxxer Remixes [Specimen Records]

Arsonist Recorder presents a selection of Vaxxer remixes from some brilliant electro producers, the brothers, and sisters of the Specimen Records camp. 

Its certainly been a weird year for sure, the title “Vaxxer” in 2020 was chosen back when I first saw this word popping up in some article, very early on in the Corona-saga. Who would have thought it would have become such a mainstay expression in our everyday lives hardly one year later. It has become yet another way to label people and put us into groups: “Vaxxers” and “anti-vaxxers”, another detail in the evolution towards a dystopia that is not happening in movies but in real day-to-day life.

Just a track name at first, we decided to use it also as the title for the whole EP which eventually was released in April 2020 on Specimen Records, and like anything virus-related it started living its own life, growing stronger as more DJ’s were picking it up: Dave Clarke, Solid Blake, DJ Stingray, Ralph Lawson, ADJ, to name but a few.

Now, a year ahead, it brings me great pleasure and honour to present these exclusive remixes and interpretations of Vaxxer, the artists involved are big inspirations and one by one true hero's of mine, most of whom have become dear friends in these difficult times. When these remixes started coming in, I'm in awe of the sonics that presented to me and I'm proud to present The Vaxxer remixes.
