Son of a humble composer and fractal scientist, Ian Mckenna aka Craftal has furthered the family legacy with his algorithmic approach to computer music. In only a few short years his productions skills have improved at exponential rates. Comparable to the likes of Spoonbill and Bogtrotter with an ever present sonic homage to the one like Dave Tipper. With regular underground sound system appearances and several key performances in the Denver area Craftal has become somewhat of a hometown hero. His recent relocation to Evergreen College in WA for sound design will only sharpen his skills for further explorations into sound. WIth great honor we present to thee Craftal's freshman EP "Unfurlurling".

The genre bending, sub rattling, west coast bass slinging Chillage Records is back at it again with it’s 5th Installment of the Crunksauce compilation series. The Northern California based collective has been a fixture in the west coast bass music scene for more than half a decade bringing us delicious bass infused glitch hop, future beats, dubstep, trap and everything in between.

For the first time Chillage Records held open submissions for the Crunksauce compilation, inviting up and coming and established producers to submit their songs for a chance at a spot on the compilation, resulting in 19 tracks of bass heavy goodness from core Chillage members and many new faces adding their own flavor and style to the mix. Chillage Records will be releasing 3 tracks from the compilation a week for the next month a half so do yourself a favor and tune in below for all the bass heavy deliciousness coming your way!

Art Of Fact - Water Marks

This track was completed during the summer 2015, after a night in Nelson Bc where i witnessed the most amazing spectacle of light in the sky. Aurora Borealis ( Northern Lights )
There was something very beautiful and auspicious about it,
I had been experiencing a bit of trouble finishing up this tune, and the excitement i felt from the experience totally helped propel me forward musically, bringing on inspiration and motivation.

I decided to use the name as the title for the ep , as it was the last track completed, and felt like a positive sign that the inspiration that the beauty of this worlds provides me with would keep to flow through me, into creative endeavours .
