Close to a year after the release of his most recent single ‘Older’, the Canadian country singer-songwriter is back with a brand new song called ‘I’ll Be Driving’, a 4-to-the-floor roadtrip anthem that will undoubtedly make you want to hit the road for a ‘’no-destination’’ journey. Who hasn’t dreamed of leaving everything behind to embark on a new adventure in life?

Great pictures, a catchy hook, guitars, banjo & steel guitars sounds, everything is in place for an enjoyable 3:20 minutes. Reminiscent of the best Zac Brown Band pop songs, this new single is a great follow up to the latest singles released by the Montreal artist.

Steph co-produced this song with Martin Gauthier & Marc-André Binette, his good friends with whom he has been creating his song for nearly 10 years now. We can feel the undeniable chemistry of the trio, which pushes the arrangements a little further each time with a new instrument or a new sound. A beautiful demonstration of constant musical evolution. ‘’There is always great care and a tremendous amount of time invested in the creation of songs, from writing to mixing,’’ as the country singer explains.

This new single announces the release of an 8-song album set to be released this Fall (official date will be announced in early October). It’s a solid and well-defined album that will showcase the singer’s songwriter and performer talent and how much he is in complete control of his art. The new-country scene is likely to be pleasantly surprised by this new work, which will arrive on all digital platforms around the world in the coming weeks!

'I Won’t Forget You‘ is Steph’s first album.

End of 2015, Steph is back in Montreal after a reflecting road trip in Asbury Park, New Jersey, the home of many musicians who influenced him.

He and his girlfriend are in a rollercoaster kind of relationship that will probably lead to an end. Many songs were inspired by this period, going back and forth between love, hope, as well as the need to leave. Some situations everyone has probably experienced once in their lives.

Musically, you will definitely hear the Bon Jovi & Springsteen influences, but still feel the little country twist signature.

The album starts with ‘Last Train‘, Steph’s first radio single that has been well received across North America. A solid ”New-Country” hit with the fiddle signature by André Proulx. The second single (title track) named ‘I Won’t Forget You‘ is all about the mixed emotions he went through at the moment he wrote these songs, but still staying positive with no hard feelings, like you’ll hear in some of Believe‘s lyrics: ”So long, I’ve had a great time, farewell, may we meet again…”.

‘All The Dreams Come True‘ is a positive and inspiring story about reaching your dreams, no matter who you are and where you come from, and ”World War III‘ is Steph’s peace anthem which sounds a little more rock. It has been written after the Paris terrorist attacks that occurred in November 2015. The lyrics are still relevant today if we think about everything happening around the world.

This song is the title track of the upcoming album called Last Train. An energic rock tune with a country twist.

Steph is back with a huge single with a clear message: ''I gotta catch the last train baby, are you gonna come my way? Or you pack, or you don't, I'm never coming back again''... Many people, once in their life, had to take that hard decision to quit and don't look back. The lyrics are not just the words of a strong and determined man looking forward without looking over his shoulder, but they also show an intriguing vulnerability. Musically filled with rock guitars, violins and a powerful hook, it is definitely a radio hit that will catch your attention.

Last Train engaged the songwriting process for the album project back in the end of summer 2015. It's the first song that has been written after a reflecting road trip to New Jersey and it also defines the general mood and theme around the whole album soon to be released.

Jon Bon Jovi Feat. Steph Morin - Do What You Can

Steph Morin is a Canadian country singer-songwriter born in Montreal. His music career started in the early 2000s, in a local bar where he used to hang out with his friends. He asked a singer if he could play a few songs between his two sets and the guy said ok! He was hired on the spot by the owner and he played there for 6 months in a row at the age of 17. After playing covers in the Quebec area for a few years, he decided to hit the road with his own material.

He built his name on the Quebec scene as an authentic performer who loves to meet his audience. He played many benefit shows through the years and he is always down to help a good cause with his music.

In 2007, he discovered an album called ‘Lost Highway’ by Bon Jovi, a completely different album than what we normally hear form this band that they recorded in Nashville with a Country approach. Steph fell in love with the country vibe, lyrics, the steel guitar sounds, violins and the songwriting style that he was not that familiar with at the moment, and he started listening to Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, as well as many other country artists that slowly started to take over the best spot in his daily playlist. It then became his new musical inspiration.

It was in 2015 that his english career took off. Being a huge Springsteen and Bon Jovi fan, he likes to hang out in New Jersey where his heroes were born, and this is where he met a local musician in a music store in Asbury Park. Steph played him one of his new songs and the guy said ”Man, you have to release that… you sound great!”. Back to his hotel room with his new guitar, he wrote ‘LAST TRAIN’, which later became his first single to make it to the radio as well as the foundation of his new project.

Back in Montreal, his new musical adventure began. He called his friends and rushed in the studio where he produced ‘I Won’t Forget You’, his debut english album that he released in June 2018, recorded at MediaMusique and mastered at the famous Sterling Sound in NYC.

Since then, his material has been well received by medias all across Canada & the United States. In 2018, Quebec voted for him and his song ‘Last Train’ that ended up in the Top 10 (#6 /more than a hundred bands) in a contest to open for Bon Jovi at the Bell Center hosted by Evenko. Since then, he played Le Ministère in Montreal for two nights to present his new music, various summer festivals in the province of Quebec, small venues in Ontario & in the North-East of the United States. He also appeared/performed in several radio shows, and this is just the beginning of his journey.

Steph released his latest album called 'Now' in Fall 2023, which will impose his name even more in the New-Country music industry. His latest radio singles performed pretty well in country radios and the singer even earned his first number one spots with ‘Summertime’ and ‘Grab That Beer Buddy’.

The future is bright for Steph Morin who really found his way vocally & lyrically. Be ready, you are about to hear his name more than once in the next few years.
