Moritz Sachse @ Birgit und Bier Berlin (08.07.22)

For a university project I produced an edit of the Inception soundtrack Time by Hans Zimmer. The goal was to record two classical instruments and combine them with an electronic music production. For the project I could win two talented musicians from Leipzig and record them in a suitable room at the HMT Leipzig with their instruments. Samuel on the piano played the appropriate parts for me on a Steinway M170. It was a very exciting task to record a grand piano and to microphone it properly. Nathanael Uhlig , the violinist, used his violin to add emotion to the breaks of the track. Here, too, the right miking was the decisive point. At this point I would also like to thank my friend Gregory for the necessary support during the recordings. 
For the percussions and some SFX elements I did several field recordings near Eisenbahnstraße in Leipzig together with not_yourtypebeats . For example, we did a stereo recording in a park to capture the atmosphere. Recorded different metallic noises and captured sounds that are created right next to a big street. 

The edit is my first project that is very emotionally leaning and is more in the genre of melodic house & techno.

 I have produced a new interpretation from an absolute classic. Josh Wink`s: Higher State of Concioussnes was the track that introduced me to Acid Techno. I did combines this classic 303 style with driving techno. I am very happy that the project is finally released and I am curious how you like it. Let me hear your opinion in the comments!

In 2017, I first heard of Vapourspace's 'Gravitational Arch of 10' as Adam Beyer opened his Time Warp set with an unreleased version of the track. The melody gave me goosebumps every time. It takes you on a journey through space and time and you feel like you're about to lift off the ground. I based my version on this intro and modernized it. For me it was important that this unique melody will accompany the whole edit and you create something new in parallel. When the original was released on Plus 8 Records in 1993, I wasn't even born yet. For me it is therefore incredible that such a melody is played until today by the greats of the scene and I can give my contribution to this classic.

Throat singing meets techno ☄️☄️☄️

Last summer after Oriom and I met at a private party the idea came up to produce a remix for his solo album "Roots of Deliverance". I felt very honored to realize this project and wanted the track "Mars Masala" to get a very special touch. For me, the vocal of the track was the focus and this is refined with crunchy synths and some drum loops and atmospheres that Oriom has recorded himself. Pretty quickly the project turned into a snappy peak time techno track!

bio:
At the young age of 15, Moritz, originally from Allgäu (South Germany) took up DJing on his own. Nowadays, electronic music is a big part of his daily life, and he consistently impresses audiences with his melodic, energetic and pummelling beats.

Alongside his DJing, he has been working on making his own music for a while. In order to get better at professional music production, Moritz moved to Leipzig to study audio engineering. In 2022, he released his first solo EP on the respected Berlin-based label, Patent Skillz Records, and he also had more releases on labels like Set About, Reload Black Label and Zug der Liebe. 
In March 2024, his debut collaboration with NEPØ on EXTIMA soared to the top of the Beatport Top 100 charts, reaching the number one position.

After all that, Moritz played his music at well-known German clubs such as Sisyphos Berlin, Ritter Butzke Berlin, Bahnwärter Thiel München, Sektor Dresden or MS Treue Bremen.
A personal highlight for him was performing at OXA Beach Koh Phangan in Thailand alongside E.V.A.
