Fat Cosmoe returns to Øddity for an expanded four track EP after featuring on Odd Echoes vol 4. ODTD036 captures his continued development after already clocking up impressive releases for Atlant, and NOTTURNA.

‘Ourselves’ leads the way with Fat Cosmoe again calling upon supremely talented vocalist MAË. Setting a deep irresistible groove from the start, Fat Cosmoe weaves a sonic tapestry from beautiful layered synths. Sparkling piano chords and tasteful strings add even greater emotion as MAË’s rich deep seductive tones mesmerize. Reverberating arps help create a stunning breakdown and the beats re-enter with refinement - making you want to play ‘Ourselves’ all over again.

‘Alderan’ takes us to that special moment where the DJ cues a track making full use of the sound system. Hypnotic cascading arps tug on the heart strings as the crowd moves in unison, letting the melodies wash over them. With tension rising the beats get more insistent before the building pressure is finally released.

‘Hole’ offers contrast, with jagged lines and shuddering bass immediately grasping your attention before the theme enters, working its way deep into your mind. ‘Hole’ is the kind of late set gem to make all conversations stop during the breakdown, as the music speaks for itself. Energetic beats then drive the track home with a real sense of inertia.

EP closer ‘Natch’ turns up the intensity dial a few notches, with Fat Cosmoe showing he can deliver dark broody melodic techno to get even the most stubborn of dance-floors moving. A great way to finish, leaving you in know doubt as to Fat Cosmoe’s production talents.

A heavy silence envelops the city. Standing in the middle of the avenue, I feel the warmth of the asphalt caressing my face. In the distance, flames dance and sketch imposing menacing silhouettes. Fear overwhelms me. My heart beats to the frenzied rhythm of my quickening thoughts. How did we come to this? How could humanity develop such fear of their fellow beings, to the extent of favoring aggression to heal its wounds? Is it not sheer madness to seek the elimination of our fellow humans in the name of beliefs that feed our fear of the other? Perhaps these beliefs are nothing more than the product of a reality that exists only in our own perception of the world?
Today, in the middle of the street, with the warmth on my face, I made a promise to meet strangers and listen to their stories. For through this, perhaps, in our exchanges, we will discover peace.

Boris Brejcha, also known as "The Joker," is back with his next single! On September 24th, his new single, "Dimension," will be released, giving us another glimpse into his upcoming album set to be released next year.
Fans can particularly look forward to this single because "Dimension" doesn't come alone. Alongside this main track, the German producer is also releasing another song called "Universe Of Love."
Both tracks are currently solid additions to Boris Brejcha's sets during his sold-out concerts around the world. This year has been phenomenal for the masked artist. In addition to major festivals in Europe and the USA, Boris has played numerous of his own In Concert Shows, setting new standards and immersing audiences in a unique concert world.
To keep his fans from waiting any longer, he is now releasing the next single from his album scheduled for 2024, following "Level One," "Space X," and "Vienna."
Both tracks carry Boris Brejcha's unmistakable touch, which he often describes as High-Tech Minimal. The driving basslines that penetrate the body are a distinctive feature of this release. "Dimension" aims to take the listener thematically into another dimension, echoing the overall theme of the album. On the other hand, "Universe Of Love" exudes a more playful and affectionate melody, creating a contrasting vibe.
