This song was probably the first entirely full song I'd ever written. All of my other songs felt like just parts to me. But I was actually satisfied with this when I got done with it. I wrote this song when I founded the band Morning After District and booked us our first show. The first time I played the song I played it without lyrics because they felt a little too personal to me.

The First Song

 Like we'd just got done being up all night partying and me almost dying. Then we got back to Sean and Ryan's house in San Francisco where we party'd just a bit more. The next morning we jammed in the Morning After ya know. Like we do. And then I said I could go for some coffee and thought about how I always had coffee in the morning after a long night and how Sean liked his Cigarettes at night. So we put those two ideas together and made this blues riff and then I separated them into two different songs.

Looking Back

The last song on this album. This song just came to me one day. I titled it I'm Gone because I usually am. If I influenced your life and then disappeared it's just cause it was time for me to move on. Time for you as well. Waking up in the Morning After feeling sad and happy at the same time. A feeling of pure Nostalgia over comes you. 
Morning After District broke up 3 months after this demo was recorded because of differences of how we saw things. I'm continuing alone from here. I'm gone again. And I'll keep Going.
