Phil Kieran revists material from his latest album titled ‘Blinded By The Sun’ by releasing a collection of remixes, including the emotive and rhythmic interpretation of ‘Solar Storm’ by Mano Le Tough.
 
Tapping Mano Le Tough for a remix was an obvious choice for Kieran, as he chose artists who personally influenced him to transform the album’s material, plus he’s a fellow compatriot of Ireland. Kieran states, “I made a wish list of who I wanted and to my surprise it all seemed to come together very quickly”.
 
The resulting remix of ‘Solar Storm’ is a steadily building sonic display of emotive textures, the type of material fans of Mano Le Tough have grown accustomed to over the years. Various percussive rhythms build up as tones lead into a synth crescendo met with a deep and raspy vocal. That, paired with the driving bass drum, makes for a hypnotic club track.
 
Also found on 'Blinded By The Sun' (Remixes #2), which is set for release via Hot Creatiions on June 23, are remixes by Matthew Herbert and David Holmes.

Earthly Delights is back with an impressive EP by two Armenian compatriots. Even though Miran has recently moved to L.A. and Hraach is based in Spain it seems like the distance does no harm to their communication and work. In fact, quite the contrary is the case: The Nervous Layers EP, consisting of three original productions, is undoubtedly one of their best works so far and it does not surprise that it found a perfect home under the roof of the hypnotic imprint Earthly Delights just in time fro Burning Man.

It all starts off with the title song, forming a subtle and warm start to this "Deep Playa" journey. Melancholic synthesizers, in a way their signature sound, sit somewhat triumphant and mystically calming on top of a groovy percussion-driven beat. Several background layers and reverberated one-shots add the certain something to this blissful melancholic trip!

The second piece of the three-track release is called “Mysterious World”. After appearing purely gentle for the first two minutes, a combination of rushing synthesizers and driving percussion turns the track into the most powerful production of the EP. 

For the final cut “The Traveler” the two producers introduce some mystical, arabic-influenced vocals, which accompany the drums and stuttering synthesizers. After two fairly abstract and multi-layered tracks this sets a perfect end point to an outstanding release of two masters of spherical and mysterious underground music.

For the first time in label history, Keinemusik is putting out an EP with just remixes. The moniker for this: Doppelgänger. The reason for this: Well, we like remixes and were curious to find out how other artists, artists that we appreciate a lot, would approach our material. Why now, you might ask. Why wait for the catalogue number KM038? See, we just wanted to offer those guys a decent pool of tracks to choose from.

Simple Symmetry are going for Adam Ports I Never Wear Black on Side A, transforming the original into a dramatic ride through gong echoing frenzy and riff-heavy e-guitar emphasis. The originals guitar lead on the other hand gets some synthetic treatment, just to be backed up by spaced out synth melodies and an organic bassline.

The second chapter sees &MEs and Finks gruelling comedown score One On One turn into a meditation over groove, courtesy of Bedouin. The guys are going for a sparse, sophisticated arrangement, opening space for Finks shattered croon, yet raising the temperature after the break into a threatening, string-laden climax.

The closing assignment is handled by Redshape. Hes repositioning Rampas Newborn Soul through his very own dark recourse on Electro-Techno. The producer enigma even more so adds some EBM flavour to his signature sound, incorporating a catchy synth bass and heavy, stomping beat. Floor quaking material indeed.

Nie Wieder Schlafen returns at the dawn of summer and delivers a breathtaking, organic 5 track EP from their young talent Modulo, who debuted on NWS with his "Energy Patterns" EP, which is still receiving lots of praise to date. With 3 Originals come 2 different versions of the main title track "Find The Truth" by non other than Quatri. Another talent, that delivered a staggering remix together with Sam Goku back in spring.

"The Panacea“ introduces the EP with the last hints of sirens in a hectic city fading over to bird sounds, crickets and an arrangement of beautifully build melodies, that invite you in for a ride with mother nature. Like „Mountain People“ before, it will pull the right strings, to get you in an uplifting and emotional mood.

Title track „Find The Truth“ continues to surprise with subtle and emotional melodies and adds broad pads, lovely flute progressions and hearthwarming sub-grooves, which lay in the center of the production and bring the unique touch to such a worthy title track.

With an exciting evolution through the months, „With The Wind“ has turned into a bliss production, that might be the most surprising inclusion in this package. A crunchy kick blessed with a melodic bassline hook and some wonderful harmonics, could stick in your head for quite a while, even hours after listening in. A production, crafted in such a subtle way, it’s soundwaves quite literally go with the wind.

To complement , but also confront the overall atmosphere of the Originals, our homegrown talent Quatri delievered two alternate versions to „Find The Truth“. His „4AM“ Remix gives a radically different perspective of the flute lead by mixing it into a techno-oriented environment.

His "Nyarai“ remix adds organic rhytm & percussions to Modulo & Manfredt’s melodical craft, giving it a rather fitting tribal spin. As always, please enjoy and have some fun with this EP.
