This recording captures Moosdohmen’s live modular set at the first MORPH event, held on June 27, 2025, at OT301 in Amsterdam.

He opened the night with a slow, dub-influenced performance built entirely on his modular system. Deep bass, spacey textures and steady rhythms set the mood as people started arriving and the room slowly filled up.

This is the first release of our new series: Sounds of Morph, where we’ll be sharing selected sets recorded during our events.

Aawadh is a French DJ and producer who explores hypnotic tribal rhythms with deep textures. Mainly influenced by organic percussion and immersive atmospheres, his music flows across a wide spectrum of genres. His debut tracks, recently released on Techlab (Budapest) and Aneehli Records (Tbilisi), mark a shift toward rhythmically complex and exploratory forms, which fully take shape on his album Dyadica, recently released on the Annulled Music label.

Embark on a mysterious, progressive, and unpredictable ride where subtle grooves and organic rhythms evolve steadily toward an entrancing, high-intensity climax.

Yesterday night the full moon was shining in all its glory, and I was lucky to be enjoying the outdoors taking a weekend off clubbing. Maybe this is why this months episode of Selene Series, number 61, started off as an attempt to select some introspective breaky music. 

I love small sounds in big spaces. I feel that there is a lot of drum and bass, half-time, breaks, call it as you want music that channels that concept. Airy atmospheres and super precise, razor sharp percussions. That was the concept of the mix, at least at the start. But hey, often things get out of control and full on psychedelic craziness manifests... Nevertheless, this is how it turned out. For moments introspective, for moments not so much.

With "Vivarium", Vienna-based live duo Mitra present their debut release and their first contribution to IO Records. Known for their immersive performances and site-responsive sound explorations, Mitra translate the raw intensity and spatial awareness of their live practice into a studio recording for the very first time.

The seven-track EP unfolds as a carefully composed sonic ecosystem. Each piece functions as a distinct organism within a living structure, contributing to a sound world that feels both precise and unpredictable. Rooted in deep listening, low-end exploration, and rhythmic subtlety, Vivarium invites audiences into an environment that is in constant transformation.

Rather than relying on fixed arrangements or traditional song structures, the tracks evolve gradually. Textures shift, patterns emerge and dissolve, and moments of stillness meet waves of tension. While firmly grounded in experimental sound design, Vivarium also reveals a sense of physicality and movement. The duo’s background in their live act is present throughout, channeling the energy of their performances into compositions that retain their organic, tactile quality.

Vivarium is more than a debut. It is an invitation to enter Mitra’s sonic world. It is a space shaped by intuition, presence, and the fluid relationship between listener, sound, and environment. With this release, Mitra opens a new chapter in their artistic trajectory, offering a compelling glimpse into the evolving potential of their sound.

this week on the 909 mix series forest on stasys brings a wormhole of locked-in grooves, percussive-driven rhythms & spacey soundscapes that exist around the sweet spot of 135pm ~ filled with that sweaty sensual late night energy. the buenos aires-based dj & producer shares, “i recently closed the night at the danza nativa showcase at under club and was quite inspired by the connection that was created with the crowd. so, you'll find minimalist techno at 135 bpm with energetic, deep, and abstract passages.”

that 90s-esque minimalist techno sound is something that forest on stasys has become renowned for within his own productions on labels such as space lab, hyphen records, crescent london, harmony records, lowless, accent records and worst records to name a few. alongside this, forest on stasys runs and curates the label aura sonora which recently released a record by dyl & tammo hesselink and he’s also part of the danza nativa crew which he has been co-running alongside alderaan and kyntral since 2018.

Kamran Sadeghi is a composer, record producer, interdisciplinary artist, and curator based in New York City. His work incorporates sound art, multi-channel composition, architecture, moving image, modular synthesis, and field recordings. This layered practice explores the intersection of interior and exterior worlds—physical, cultural, and psychological. On Biotope, @valentinomora ventures even further from the dancefloor, delving into a rich, psychoacoustic realm shaped by modular and spectral synthesis. Built primarily around the Rossum Panharmonium, a module that analyzes and re-synthesizes audio into evolving harmonic clusters in real time, the album conjures an imagined ecosystem, where sound behaves with the logic and fluidity of organic life. Eschewing traditional field recordings, Mora instead sculpts textures and gestures that feel deeply natural yet are entirely synthetic. Inspired by elements such as soil composition, air, humidity, light, temperature, and the chemical properties of both land and aquatic environments and the living creatures that inhabit them, the soundscapes emerge as a kind of sonic biology. The result is a collection of slow-moving, tension-laden compositions that blur the boundaries between physical sensation and abstract design. Biotope unfolds like a closed ecosystem: modular synthesis treated as a breathing entity, shaped by resonance, friction, and organic motion. It embodies a kind of mystical biology, where textures mimic living forms, and frequencies pulse with intent.

This is music to be felt as much as heard, Biotope invites you to listen with your skin, not just your ears.
