We are talking with https://soundcloud.com/jensen-interceptor aka Mikey Melas - uplifting soul, DJ and producer from Australia. He has been releasing singles since 2012, his energy rocketed with releases through Boys Noize and Sheffield’s Central Processing Unit (CPU) labels and numerous cool collaborations. His sound is combined from electro tradition influenced by the greats - Kraftewerk & Detroit sound - and modern edge, pop twists, moving dancefloor beats. His tracks has been picked up by many of the biggest DJs while sets played by Jensen Interceptor himself are delightful too.

Electro Records have put together seven unique albums for their Sci-Fi Electro Series. Each release takes inspiration from a classic sci-fi film of the 20th century, 2001: A Space Odyssey, THX 1138, Blade Runner, The Thing, Akira, Terminator and Tron, produced by Scape One, Sound Synthesis, Kan3da, Nebenprodukt, N-Ter, Transpac and Alek Stark. But Electro Records created also a very limited edition of only 99 boxes silkscreen printed and hand-numbered that includes some extras, an eight record produced by Mariska Neerman in tribute to Metropolis (!) and a high quality T-Shirt. Each artist created a 15 minutes full track for each side of each vinyl record, each side is divided in “movements”, a full side of about 15 minutes with no pauses, no silences between tracks… You will listen these movements in a continuous morphing process from pure electro to very experimental compositions, sounds and atmospheres.

Each record is manufactured in a different color and the cardboard used for the sleeves is a limited black cardboard embossed with lines that you can see in the pictures, each sleeve is also silkscreen printed one by one in our studios. No re-press!

Roulette Rekordz has been a home for misfits, freaks and special characters since its creation. So when Nachtwald sent me his demo, I immediately felt a connection.

Johnny Hoorneboeg is a bit of a mystery to me, he seems rather young and quite shy but his music sounds like from a veteran from the Bunker/Den Haag crew. He does not talk much and does not use social media but acts in a goofy troll-esque way. I dont know much else, he seems to spend all his time doing music in his home of Nieuw-Loosdrecht.

At least you can tell he's coming from The Netherlands... but he sounds more like the sweaty nights of the dirty brown and miserable city than the trendy parties of the capital.

6 tracks of 5 AM music, when the dancefloor is cleared and you only see ghosts through a wall of smoke pulsating to music you never heard before but always knew about...

Mystery Kid definitely doesn't fit into any box. This dual-faceted DJ and producer This dual-faceted DJ pushes the BPMs of dark disco, navigating between rock-tinged EBM and percussive kick breaks. Mystery Kid released her first track on the Nubians Of Plutonia Records (IT) label, signed an EP on Pacotyson Records (FR) and a track on Femnoise Records (ESP), always faithful to her underground dark disco vibe. She began in famous clubs like Badaboum (Paris) and Warehouse (Nantes), this professional queer artist has an eclectic universe revolving around EBM and dark disco. She became national revelation RIFFX 2023, and having great experience of the stage, she had play to huge famous festivals (Made festival 2023, Printemps de Bourges 2023, Astropolis 2023 and We Love Green 2023, Monumental Tour 2023) where she shares the mainstage with many other professional artists (Dylan Dylan, Red Axes, Salome, Belaria, Laurent Garnier, Rebeka Warrior, Irène Dresel ...). In 2024, she became a Rinse FM resident and attracted the programmers of the HOR livestream platform (Berlin).
Follow this little alien and enter in her dual dark universe with synth waves and rock vibes, where percussive break and EBM merge harmoniously.
