Today, "ethereal” (Billboard) electronic producer Ben Böhmer drops his fourth single “A Matter of Time” ahead of the release of his sophomore album Begin Again (out September 24th via Anjunadeep). Böhmer’s new single “A Matter of Time” is a red-hot addition to the LP that showcases his versatility as an artist with exhilaratingly sharp beats and enticing vocals. He says the single “represents an emotional outburst...I’ve never made music of this size and speed and I think the longing for a great gig/touring experience can be clearly heard.”

Böhmer recently won Best Live [Streamed] Act Award at the AIMs in what has been arguably the most competitive year for live streamed performances, beating out artists including Arlo Parks and beabadoobee. This year, Ben has also been named Spotify's #1 fastest growing electronic artist with over 60 million streams, and Vogue UA called him "the new star of the world electronic scene."

The Berlin-based producer and live act has had a banner year; Böhmer is officially the fastest growing electronic artist in the world on Spotify, his 2019 debut LP Breathing surpassed 50 million streams and his live streamed show for fans from a 3,000 ft. high hot air balloon overlooking Cappadocia’s honeycombed hills via Cercle (Peggy Gou, Disclosure, The Blaze) now has over 14 million views. He has been nominated alongside Beabadoobee and Arlo Parks for Best Live Streamed Act by the AIM awards (2021).

Begin Again was inspired and written while Böhmer and his fiancé were separated on opposite sides of the globe for nine months due to the global travel ban. The album sees him perfectly portray the longing and uncertainty he and many of us experienced during this time.

With 28-year old Böhmer’s debut Breathing and a string of other singles and remixes for influential labels Anjunadeep and Future Classic, Böhmer has become German electronic music’s brightest star. He is a mainstay in the flagship electronic playlists and Beatport 100, drawing admirers from across the electronic music spectrum including Stephan Bodzin, Bob Moses and Boris Brejcha who pronounced Böhmer as his ‘Breakthrough Artist of 2020’. Following his Cercle performance via hot air balloon, Böhmer became the first artist to perform a live set for German YouTube and Netflix star, Kliemannsland.

A Matter Of Time

Hello, friends!  First, thank you all for a hella stream Saturday night - we barely had gone live and you all LAUNCHED it!  Thank you, always, it means the world to us and helps keep our vision going strong.  

We added a few new minor tweaks to the Twitch stream view, the new RUNE effect and a musical one, as well as the pivoting OnlyHands(TM) view. One bug to clear up, then we'll be onward to more stream enhancements.  

While maybe not a *big* development, we are formally launching our new YouTube channel, that will host our stream replays.  If you're feeling it, please give us a follow, a like, a share - will certainly help us launch a bit stronger.

Production duo anamē remix “Tears From The Moon,” Conjure One’s seminal 2002 track featuring Sinéad O’Connor.

No track pulls on the heartstrings quite like Conjure One’s “Tears From The Moon.” Sinéad O’Connor’s lyrics about love, loss and despair create a tsunami of emotion, while Conjure One’s simple drums and rich orchestra sound like heartbreak personified. When Tiestö remixed the track in 2004 he retained the emotion while making it dance floor-ready. Unsurprisingly, it became an instant hit and inspired thousands of producers – anamē included. 

anamē is the new project from Marcus Schössow, (previously gardenstate) and Thomas Sagstad. Remixing “Tears From The Moon” was a lifelong ambition for the pair, seeing as Tiestö’s remix was one of their personal anthems. 

The remix is anamē’s third release on Anjunabeats, following “Influencer” with BLR and Robbie Rise and “Gratitude” in collaboration with Above & Beyond. Since launching the project in 2022, anamē has played at Anjunabeats Europe and Group Therapy Weekender at The Gorge, and supported Above & Beyond at their Gashouder shows in Amsterdam in May 2022. anamē are set to release plenty more music throughout the year and will be supporting Above & Beyond at Brooklyn Mirage on August 21 and at Group Therapy Weekender London on September 10.

Conjure One is the ambient, down-tempo project from Rhys Fulber, who is also one half of trance duo Delerium. “Tears From The Moon” was a single from his eponymous first album, and has 1.7m streams on Spotify to date. Sinéad O’ Connor is a ‘90s icon, with her 1999 hit “Nothing Compares 2 U” topping charts worldwide and reaching 232m streams on Spotify. She’s released 10 albums, two of which went Gold in the UK, and worked alongside global superstars including Prince, U2 and Massive Attack.

"Remixing ‘Tears From The Moon’ was one of the easiest choices of our lives,” says anamē. “We both grew up listening to the Tiësto remix, and we wanted to incorporate that into our sets but in our own way. The vocals from Sinéad O'Connor just hit you right in the heart, and that's what it's all about.”

What an epic trip.  The first realization of a concept idea we've been chipping away at, finding this location over a year ago - we just couldn't forget about it.  

To say we're supercharged is an understatement.  In an environment that inspires our creative outlet, and recharging us at the same time.  The location we streamed from is simply magical.  Photos, videos, music - nothing was quite able to capture the actual feeling there.  We did our best to share it with you, and hope you all felt it too. 
 
While our hearts still feel like they're up in the mountains, we're already working towards the next event.  We have a fresh stack of behind-the-scenes work to do.  Everything went exactly the way we wanted to, and there are things that we need to continue to develop before the next event too.  😉
