It's a pleasure to be having Brian Cid on the latest release from Morrison Recordings.  'Release' is a melodic progressive house anthem, perfectly suited for educated punters and musical purists alike.  A smooth hypnotic style which typifies Brian's releases over the past year, this record transcends a particular 'style of the moment' and really just bases itself purely on it's own merits as a bonified club banger.  'Berlin Wax' is a wonderful compliment, with funked out drumwork and soft synths for that early night Ibiza vibe.  This is a terrific two track EP and just around the corner is the Miami conference for this release to be sitting in the hands of the tastemakers.  We hope you enjoy this release as much as we do.

Brian Cid - Release

A very special artist has remixed one of Glenn's latest smash records. The man behind 'The Sound Of The Cosmos' and 'A Jedi's Night Out' has done a wonderful job in turning Glenn's 'Triangle & Strings' into a summery Ibiza style house record. The beginning starts off modestly with a warm old school groove before it grows into a shimmering melodic breakdown climax. This record has proven itself time and time again throughout the summer shows and festivals, and there is heavy support from all of the top jocks. Having been sublicensed already to Dave Seaman's Global Underground 'Lithuania' compilation and surely countless more compilations, we are proud and honoured to have Tom Middleton a part of the Morrison family. On the B Side brings newcomer Matt Lange and he steps up to the plate in a big way. Having been BT's studio engineer for two years, this extremely talented producer hailing from Boston has put together a hypnotic rendition of Glenn's record.

Having been a legendary name since the early days of Paul Oakenfold featuring his seminal record 'Time' in 1998, he has gone from strength to strength over the past 15 years, releasing emotional melodic music and tons of hits in the process. On the A Side, 'So Cold So Dark' is a brilliant dubstep record that is aggressive and has piercing tones. The piano layer is haunting and effective.  On the B Side, 'Tunnelvision' has much more of Joey's signature sound, a hypnotic pulsing 4/4 house number that has the sound of Sasha written all over it. Minimalistic in its overtones and percussion the record comes full circle at the break with a wash of colour in melody. Glenn Morrison. Robert Babicz. Charlie May. These musical visionaries who have placed a firm hold as three of the most iconic progressive house producers the world has ever seen, are all lumped together in one fantastic package.  The 'Original Mix' is a very atmospheric deep house affair, with dripping melodies that hang atop the tribal drums which carry the record.  Glenn's Amnesia Afterhours Reprise represents a taste of his Amnesia Ibiza residency two years ago, so characteristic of those Balearic mornings. Robert Babicz's remix takes things more clubby, more techy, more funky and to the point.  Careful use of Glenn's melodies and a masterful array of sounds makes Roberts mix a fresh twist on the original take.  Charlie May has graced us not with one mix but three here.  A hypnotic dubby approach characterizes one of the records with the other remix being deeper but yet more atmospheric and uplifting.  This is a special release and if you are lucky enough on Ebay you can find original vinyls of this for sale.  This will be a release that will go down in the history books; a progressive house release that will stand the test of time. For the 101st release off of the Morrison Recordings imprint comes fellow Canadian production duo Redroche. Having had gold records in the past and through their imprint Eyezcream Recordings, they have signed the likes of an early Axwell, Steve Angello, and Dave Armstrong.  Their single ‘Love Has Gone’ was a number 1 chart topping record, with a Top 40 release around the globe and licensed to over 15 countries worldwide, in accordance to becoming a top ten on all MTV dance video shows. We are proud to unveil their next hot single, aptly titled ‘Twista’ with the way the floating arpeggiated synth riff juxtaposes with the underlying groove.  Reminiscent of the classic ‘Discopolis’ record by Kris Menace & Lifelike, that piercing metallic riff comes in on the midsection of the record and we have a full on hands in the air moment towards the penultimate peak of the breakdown. The Brian Cid remix is another tantalizing taster, with a strong tribal house groove utilizing the same riff - a true dancefloor destroyer for those big room club venues. This is a great euphoric house record with early support coming from the likes of Avicii, Glenn Morrison, Chris Lake, Roger Sanchez, Axwell and many more, this record is set to be one of the memorable house records for the Ibiza summer of 2012. Joe Brunning - We Were Warned - MOR0102 - Release Date October 3rd 2012

Matt Smith aka Jeremiah is a DJ/Producer from Kildare, Ireland.  Having won the iDJ Magazine Raw Talent competition with a stunning mix that blew the judges away and then shortly after Jeremiah’s ‘Surface of the Moon’ release on Ambig Records featuring a remix from the Slovenian techno giant Umek, came heavy support from the likes of Carl Cox, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Pete Tong, Hernan Cattaneo, Armin Van Buuren and many more. 

‘Azul Oscuro’ is a melancholy laced piece with an old school 90’s progressive house feel and a very hypnotic atmosphere whilst Echelon is a more brooding affair, with careful splashes of melody throughout and a very Funk D’Void style synth stab.  Overall both records are lush and very warm in nature, and we hope you enjoy this release as much as we do.  This is classic progressive house at it’s finest, a sound that will never tire as the commonality between the two records here is strong musicianship. Joe Brunning’s latest single, ‘Blow Your House Down’ has been the strong follow up to ‘Now Let Me See You Work’ and it delivers on a grand scale.  With an acid tinged baseline, sharp metallic drums, and a voice that is low and heavy, this record, when played at the right time, will cause destruction on the dancefloor.  This is an extremely limited promo and with heavy support coming in already from Carl Cox when he debuted this track at StereoSonic Festival in Australia, reactions are a must on this one.
