Ive always appeeciated the understated way 'the go find' moves me. This tune strikes such an awesome balance between lush-idealized-melodies and backed-away-modesty. 
At this point in the tune-- as it opens up for the first time-- I begin to get so emotionally invested. This tune is really excellent!

Anyone could be a brand new love. It could happen anywhere, anytime, to anyone. Something so good you're not quite ready for it. So simple it's impossible to understand.
Brand New Love is not the boy meets girl story you see in movies. It's most definitely a love record, but from a myriad of fresh viewpoints: sweet/bittersweet, happy/sad, melancholic/joyous and at times even a tad philosophical. Every shade, flavor and expression of that lovely four-letter-feeling that's unmistakably a part of human nature is scrutinized, dissected and wrapped up again in beautifully crafted songs or blended into poppy tracks, like only The Go Find write.
But there's more.
What previous The Go Find records only hinted at becomes very apparent on the new album: the band stirs a big chunk of love for eighties pop music into 21st century pop songs. On Brand New Love, the decade of the New Romantics shimmers through in every song. But The Go Find treats those classic eighties sounds in a surprisingly fresh manner: a mix of indie, electronics and some smooooth synth-loving, combined with the already well-known The Go Find sound.
Listen to the opening track Jungle Heart, for instance: when the swirly synths pop in, the song turns into a dance track: your feet won't be able to resist the beat. The Lobby is Sexual Healing finding new ways to dance with I Want To Know What Love Is: The Go Find surprises us with this beautiful track about someone who's tired of waiting for that special someone. If the lyrics weren't so plain honest heartbreaking, it just as well might become a song you'd like to hear at your wedding.
The synth bass in Your Heart that surfaces halfway through the song, makes you want to drive your car through a hot Italian summer night, while We Run is hazy as clouds of morning mist that are about to evaporate in the first beams of sunlight. The Message sounds catchy and harbors a wonderful guitar interlude. Japan is all about the girls winning, and Summer Boys is a beautiful song about a friendship between young boys - a sister song to Adrenaline on Stars On The Wall.
It's hard not to fall in love with this record. So don't be too surprised when Brand New Love grows into your brand new love. Just listen and 'follow what you feel', as Lou Barlow urges us to do in his fantastic (Sebadoh) song of the same name.

In 2015, Cico Beck ( Joasihno, Aloa Input, the Notwist ) and Markus Acher ( the Notwist, Tied & Tickled Trio, Rayon ) started the project "You + Your D.Metal Friend" as a collective for improvisations and ideas apart from their other bands. 
They will experiment with different settings and instrumentations and will collaborate with other artists for the music and the cover-artwork.
For "Sonnier", their first recordings, Cico and Markus started with percussion instruments from around the globe, analogue synthesizers and all kinds of acoustic and electronic devices to layer music that sounds like the memory of Gamelan, Italian library-records and minimal electronic experimentation... music, they listened to a lot before recording.
"Sonnier" will be available on vinyl (incl. download-code), limited to 300 for the world, and will not be repressed and digital only. Packaged in heavy-cardboard-LP-covers from second-hand records, they collected from their local record-stores with a screen-printed and numbered artwork glued on it. Designed by Richard Greenan from kit-records, London, and printed by Senor Burns (Red Can). Each cover is unique and hand numbered.

Back in November 2016, we've had the great pleasure to celebrate 5 years of UM:LAUT with Markus Acher's project Rayon. With his numerous bands and collaborations (The Notwist, Lali Puna, Tied & Tickled Trio, 13 & God...) Markus Acher has contributed various relevant and exciting chapters to the recent history of music, thereby constantly re-exploring his sound universe and repeatedly widening the horizon of pop music. Within the series of UM:LAUT, Rayon presented the album "A Beat of Silence" (Morr Music) for the first time live and in one of the rare concerts with a full band and an extensive instrumentation.

Special thanks to Markus and the band for the great performance. And cheers to Carlo Grippa for the amazing sound, the recordings and the mastering.

Populous is Andrea Mangia, a producer hailing from Lecce, a small city on the heel of Italy's boot. In 2003, he made his first jaunt into the music world with the album Quipo (via Morr Music). In 2005 he released Queue For Love, influenced by his reggae/hip-hop-infused surroundings (Lecce is known as Italy's Jamaica, as reggae and dancehall are extremely popular there) and in 2008 he released Drawn in Basic. Both albums were widely received by international critics, earning him a spot on the global music map. He became known for the way he seamlessly blends digital sounds with the analog warmth of soul/hip-hop/whatever else he's influenced by at the time.

In 2014, he released Night Safari via Bad Panda Records. The album, for Populous, was the embodiment of a dream. "This record is an imaginary nighttime safari to discover uncontaminated landscapes, strange creatures, wild animals, and mysterious lights," he told Thump Magazine. The record received praise from international media outlets, and was revered for its ability to sonically transcend borders.

Azulejos, his forthcoming release, has a South American tinge to it (and is even partly in Spanish). He moved to Lisbon, Portugal to start work on the album bringing with him only a laptop, a small MIDI keyboard, and a microphone. "Lisbon became both my studio and my muse," he says. He wandered the city collecting field recordings— from trams to people singing on street corners. He sifted through flea markets for records to use for sampling (exclusively Portuguese and South American). Populous describes Lisbon as a city 'halfway between South American soul and European modernity, African in some aspects, and dramatically melancholic." He channeled these poignant fusions into Azulejos, named for the typical tiled facades in Portugal— simultaneously bright and decaying. The album features collaborations with Nina Miranda of Smoke City and Ela Minus, among others. It's a love letter to Lisbon, and a dreamy quilt of sounds he both grew up with and heard for the first time during his influential stay in Portugal.

Zayaendo is a Tokyo-based brassband, colorful, unique and adventurous...you won’t find any of the typical brass-bands-cliches here, nor are they a free-unit of improvisors…they nothing less then invited their own genre...Zayaendo Music !
Zayaendo was formed in 2016 by Saya (Tenniscoats, Spirit Fest) and Satomi Endo (Biobiopatata) after Saya was inspired by a performance of the acoustic instrumental band Hochzeitskapelle, who she saw in Munich. 
The band also includes Tomoaki Saito, Masaharu Seki (sekifu), Takashi Ueno (Tenniscoats), Kiyokazu Onozaki (Andersens, 2B) and other musicians who play with other bands or as solo artists. Zayaendo consists of somewhere between ten and twenty musicians (depending on who is available to play at that time) and forms an orchestra that plays each other’s compositions as well as covers of experimental timeless masterpieces. Since the band play acoustic instruments, their performance venues vary from the street to the forest. 

In 2018, the band played at the Alien Disko Festival #3 with their beloved Hochzeitskapelle, where together they took part in a parade through the streets of Munich to celebrate and ring in the festival. In 2019, their first album Zayaendo music was released on the majikick label, and now, as vinyl, by Alien Transistor, Munich.
