Coming off a slew of genre-defying releases, Shapov furthers his future rave sound through his latest single ‘Runic’. The young Russian showcases his studio prowess, combining stripped down synths and vocal chants that form a bold and original production.

With four appearances on Axtone thus far this year, and shows at famed Ibiza hotel, Ushuaïa, as part of Axwell Λ Ingrosso’s summer residency, Shapov continues to distinguish himself throughout the dance music scene. With a rumoured collaboration alongside Axwell Λ Ingrosso and an impending EP, it’s evident that Shapov is making serious strides since the beginning of his project in 2015.

Appointed the name ‘Runic’ by fans online seeking to identify the unknown track upon an early Sebastian Ingrosso play; Axtone and Shapov give a subtle nod to fans, going with the fan-given name. Listeners can be sure that ‘Runic’ certainly won’t be the last they hear of Shapov on Axtone Records this year…

Encompassing horns, synth, violin, vox and sax, Mortisville & Friends have garnered a completely unique style, fusing the driving power of techno and tech house with a canavalesque backdrop of live instrumentation. MAF have wowed crowds at festivals such as Rainbow Serpent, Glastonbury and Womad. 

Bursting onto the scene in 2012 at Rainbow Serpent, MAF have grown effervescently, making the 2am Saturday night slot on the Playground Stage their own. Described by Eamon Armstrong of fest300.com as having the ‘raucous energy of house party at the end of the universe’ they have flamboyantly mutated, harnessing a myriad of individual styles and throwing them into a celestial mixing pot of progressive good vibes. You will forget your woes; your strife and dance vivaciously till you ascend to another plane. Simply put, there is no other act in the world like right now like Mortisville & Friends.

Based in Melbourne, Mortisville has been one of the driving forces behind the growth of Electro Swing and Vintage Remix in Australia. Having promoted nights in Melbourne for the last 5 years, he now co-runs the hugely successful Electro Swing Club Australia, which regularly sells out to over 1000 people and has hosted artists such as Electric Swing Circus, Slamboree, Grant Lazlo, Incontrol, Dr Cat Dutty Moonshine and The Chicken Brothers

As a DJ, Mortisville has rocked stages at Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Bestival and Boomtown in the UK, as well Goulash Disco in Croatia and a host of festivals in Australia. These include, Rainbow Serpent, WOMADELAIDE, Maitreya, Strawberry Fields, Subsonic and Pleasure Garden to name a but a few. He also has a number of successful releases under his belt, having worked with Grant Lazlo, Incontrol, Ragtime Records, Green Queen Music, Gentlemen Callers and many more.
