We are delighted to present you the debut EP by @pelikaan_beats including three great remixes by @da-iguana ,@manuelamusica and in this case @padouc.

As always, we fundraise with this release for our social partner @Love-foundation and we introduce you to the artist Hugo aka Pelikaan, by asking him three questions.

What is love for you?
I am the father of a 3yo little girl, so when I think about the love she's the first thing that springs to mind!
Love is the ultimate necessity to give without needing a return. Giving love to others around us is the most generous act we are capable of, while receiving love is what makes us bloom.
I would have never made this EP without the love and support of the love of my life, my partner in crime, my best friend: my beautiful wife who pushed me to share the music I had inside of me with the world.

What's the closest thing to real magic for you?
We all experience magic every day as the driving force that binds the universe together. I became Buddhist a few years ago which gave me a way to connect to that energy. With this in hand, you can overcome any obstacle in your life and you become the only architect of your happiness and one of the people around you. It doesn't beat Dr Strange but we're not too far off :)

What's the most useless talent you have?
I can make my eyes tremble. Don't ask me how, I just can. Yes, I know it's creepy.

People need to stop being so ugly to each other. So what? You can hear someone; but were you  listening? Can you have a conversation or having you gotten too comfortable with ins and out? What has you so consumed that you cannot take time out to be alone with yourself? It becomes easier to be yourself when you know your self. Those who know self are sovereign beings. They cannot be bound or shackled through the mind, body or soul. 

You see, when you know your self, there is no fear. When you are present, you dwell within your own energy and you begin to operate from within that energy. As you become more aware and sensitive with self, barriers are removed and you become sovereign. Respect nods to respect and disdains ignorance. Learn everyday something new about the world all around you. Come undone. Be up, be brave and be kind. Life is too short to be so consumed by any one thing. 

The next time you are in public, say this to yourself: America has a strong culture of diversity. There are like minded people and there are some whom you may not agree with. Learn how to agree to disagree. It takes a soulless person to kill someone in an instant and have no remorse, no empathy-someone who is lifeless and cold. 

I have never lost a friend or dismissed anyone simply because of politics. At the end of the day, we are ALL Americans. To kill your own fellow citizen in the name of politics, propaganda and lies is beneath us. A low down dirty shame and ill advised. Are you so much of a stranger to yourself that you have become someone else? How can one judge others when one doesn't even know thyself?

We the people of this nation declare this our house and that which is American society; the worker, the mover and the shaker no longer tolerates the assassin or the ideation of such nonsense, a kin to the thief, the breach, the chaos agent and the liar -- harming others for personal gain is beneath us -- rise or fall, do not manipulate, propagate or come to us with more than one face -- those who did and do the work; to know, to love and to draw the line to rise!  

This age shall be a golden brown and bright yellow-blue at sunrise and bright yellow-orange at sunset; shall we arise in UNITY, sovereign individual, blessed we shall be, many of us like minded and as diverse as the universe; now free of all entanglements; we cannot be kept from rising anymore; we kicked down the door, we must unite more than ever before!

Wars and killing are barbaric and uncivilized. We must agree to disagree and listen as much as we talk. I believe the universe has every intention of keeping us from destroying each other.

>> Wer bist du und woher kommst du?
Ich bin Verena, komme ursprünglich aus den Tiefen des rheinlandpfälzischen Waldes und bin vor kurzem aus Bremen ins beschauliche Halle gezogen.

>> Wie kamst du zum auflegen?
Ich hatte Lust auf mehr melodische und langsamere Musik im Club und vor allem auf mehr Frauen hinter den Decks. Da es das 2018 in Bremen noch nicht so viel von beidem gab, hab ich angefangen selber aufzulegen.

>> Was gefällt dir besonders an "langsamer" Musik?
Die Musik wird für mich breiter. Die einzelnen Sphären der Klänge, der Instrumente und der Beats kann ich so viel intensiver erfassen. Gleichzeitig lädt langsamere Musik für mich mehr dazu ein, den ganzen Körper im Tanz zu bewegen und Ausdruck zu finden, der für mich oftmals intensiver ist, als bei über 128bpm.

>> Dein aktueller Lieblingstrack (und auf wieviel BPM)?
Das ist sehr schwierig. Aber welchen Track ich gerade wirklich sehr gerne höre, habe ich als Closingtrack in meinem Podcast eingebaut: Avem ft. Dennis Kiss -Lluvia auf 98bpm.

>> Ein Set, dass du dir immer wieder anhörst?
Wechselt stetig, aktuell mag ich sehr gerne das LDS 7.8 Set von Leichtigkeit des Seins.

>> Dein Lieblingsfestival?
Zugvögel Festival in Udenbreth
