August 2, 1968 – 22 april, 2000
Anders Garstedt was born, and grew up, in Karlstad where, as a kid, he started to play the trumpet.
After music high school he studied at the Skurup folk high school which was followed by music studies in USA and at the Royal Music Academy in Stockholm.
He was a sought after musician both live and in the studio, and worked a lot in various genres.
Unfortunately he is not well documented as a soloist, but can be heard on the album ”T” by Fredrik Norén Band (Mirrors, 1999), and was also a fea- tured on the title track on the critically acclaimed album ”Quel Bordel” by Christian Falk (Warner, 1999).
The music on this cd is written by Anders, and the group that performs it were members of his quintet, where Fredrik Ljungkvist used to be the stand in for Joakim Milder.
Anders is deeply missed by the swedish jazz community, and we are happy to present his music performed by these great musicians, who all knew and played with him.

Adam Forkelid is a great voice on the swedish scene, and has put this amazing trio together. Georg Riedel on bass is an icon on the swedish msuic scene, ever since he played with greats as Lars Gullin or Jan Johansson. Drummer Jon Fält is the same generation as Adam and is also a huge name on the swedish scene, and is probably mostly known from his work with Bobo Stenson Trio.
The music on this album is written by Adam, and we hope you will all enjoy this exciting and beautiful album!

We are extremely proud to announce that one of the greatest swedish jazz musicians of all times, Fredrik Ljungkvist will release an album on Moserobie this year! This is his 6th album as a leader, but the first for Moserobie!
Fredrik is one of the major names on the swedish jazz scene, and released his debut as a leader in 1995, and is world recognized as a part of the scandinavian super group Atomic.
The album is titled Atlantis, and is recorded in the legendary Atlantis studio in Stockholm.

This will be released on LP and CD on October 18, 2019. (Limited edition transparent red vinyl, only 300 copies made)

In 2002, 26 year old Torbjörn made his debut with The Torbjörn Zetterberg Hot Five. By then he was already well established on the Swedish jazz scene touring with bands like Jonas Kullhammar Quartet, Fredrik Norén Band, Per Texas Johansson Quartet and Lina Nyberg Pling. The following eight years Torbjörn released nearly one album every year. In 2010 he left music for an extended stay at a Zen Buddhist monastery. In 2014 he was back with a new band, ”Torbjörn Zetterberg & Den Stora Frågan” (TZ & The Great Question). Last year the band released a live album on the Chicago label Corbett vs Dempsey, The Great Question’s third release. And now, 18 years after his debut and five years since his last studio album, we proudly present Torbjörn’s album number nine, ARE YOU HAPPY? recorded in the legendary studio Atlantis in Stockholm (where ABBA recorded some of their major hits), by equally legendary Janne Hansson. This time the sextet expands to octet on two tracks with Alexander Zethson on keyboards and Lars Skoglund on drums.

On Johan Lindström Septett’s second album, Swedish pedal steel player, composer and producer, Johan Lindström, invites the listener to dive deeper into his kalejdoscopic musical mind.

Their debut album was released in early 2018, receiving praise around the globe. It ended up being nominated for a Swedish Grammy, while the septet itself received the “Band of the Year” award at the Swedish Radio jazz gala.
An in-demand musician and producer throughout Scandinavia since the 90’s, Johan is no newcomer to the scene. Featured on pedal steel in a jazz quintet setting. Johan was also a member of saxophonist/clarinetist Per Texas Johanssons group, which took Europe by storm in the 90’s. On the jazz/impro scene he is mainly known as a founding member of the group Tonbruket, which also features bassist Dan Berglund, formerly of EST (Esbjörn Svensson Trio).
Tonbruket has received four Swedish Grammy awards.

For his own septet, Johan assembled six of his favorite musicians on the Swedish jazz scene. Their new album, ”On the asylum”, was mainly recorded in the legendary Atlantis Studio in Stockholm – coincidentally, the very place where Johan first met and worked with Elvis Costello, who makes a guest appearance on the album, reciting his own lyrics on the opening track.

Johan Lindström was born in Stockholm in 1972 and has been a professional musician since 1991, playing guitar, piano and pedal steel. Johan has worked with artists like Ane Brun, Tonbruket, Rebecka Törnqvist, Graveyard, Susanne Sundføer, Nils Petter Molvaer, Anna Ternheim, Freddie Wadling, Elvis Costello, Patti Smith, Sly & Robbie, Ebbot Lundberg, Edda Magnason, Kristian Kjellvander, Goran Kajfes, Kristofer Åström, Big Johnny Jewel and many more.
