Born and raised in St. Louis MO, rapper Mosheh Koke is recognized for his lyrical genius and humble attitude. At an early age Mosheh was immersed in music starting with learning to play the piano. In the late 90s and early 2000s Mosheh learned to DJ from his older brother who at that time was a regular DJ for some of St. Louis’s most popping spots such as The Palace and Saints (where rapper Nelly got his start) and even big names such as P Diddy. Mosheh was taught to produce beats around the same time, going by the name Yung Ghost – given to him by a childhood friend. At the age of 14 he began to make a profit selling his beats around town to local artists. Using the money made from producing, Mosheh recorded and released his first mixtape ‘Crucifixion’ at 15 and began touring around to local spots performing and selling his music. Around 19 Mosheh veered into the realm of spoken word, this time going by a different alias – Mosheh Jubal. He began collecting profit from open mic performances and spoken word competitions around St. Louis. Eventually, Mosheh gained a decent reputation for his talents and worked with a club owner to begin hosting his own open mic and spoken word shows on the south side of St. Louis. Around 2014 Mosheh caught the attention of 2 former Def Jam artists and was embraced as a part of their team - Street Dreamz Music Group (SDMG). SDMG launched their own recording studio in the St. Louis Mills mall and shortly after released their first mixtape ‘Dream’ with a cypher by Mosheh as the introduction. However, the team shortly after went their separate ways and Mosheh put his music aside. In October 2016, Mosheh’s childhood friend was murdered, leaving Mosheh with a different view on life and his music. In grievance, Mosheh decided it was time to make his mark in the music industry, this time under a new name – Mosheh Koke. Mosheh released his first new single ‘That Pop Off’ in late 2016 and gained much respect for its captivating lyrics and style of delivery. Mosheh now continues to work and perform with local promoters and world-wide celebrities to make a name for himself in the music industry and is certain to be recognized amongst the greatest.
