Re-watched this movie the other day and decided to cover the main theme because it was just so beautiful . It was pretty hard to find the original track....and I definitely didn't do this piece any justice...but I tried to give it my best shot.

So I made a pretty crappy cover of my crappy voice. It started off as a random piano jam and then I decided to ADD VOCALS???!?!? and then HARMONIES????!?!?!?!?!?! AND I DON'T USUALLY SING?????
And it sounds crap I know, and I don't really feel like sharing it anywhere else because I have a friend who also covered it and her voice is really nice and stuff so...

But hey I actually think it's mildly decent sounding lol

Let Her Go - Passenger (Cover)

~Inspired by Chopin Waltz Op. 34, No. 3~
I've been wanting to cover something from Studio Ghibli for a while, and even though I've covered the themes from Princess Mononoke and Arietty, they just didn't seem well...satisfying enough, considering how much I loved all the movies.
Recently I chanced upon a collection of Chopin inspired Ghibli songs, and I was taken aback at how beautiful all the renditions sounded. This one was the first on the track and would always be the first song I listened to, until one day I decided that I would just give it a go by doing a cover of another cover!
It took me almost 7 hours to get a final recording which I was happy with, as playing it completely by ear without any sheet music reference  proved harder than I expected. I'm actually quite pleased with the final result though, even though I know there is still much to improve on.

Ponyo Theme Song (Piano Cover)

Recorded this for the final assessment of my music breadth subject ~ 
I'm mildly happy with how this turned out :'') I know it sounds pretty..gross....I really really tried...but I justify myself by saying that I've never ever mixed anything like this before (especially vocals) so it's allowed to sound crap lol. Also I don't sing and I made a gross attempt at singing so I apologize to your ears as well.
Anyway, it was great fun mixing this and I never thought I'd ever get a final result like this from the 6 second guitar track that I started with.

Wow. Long time no cover? 
I haven't really been following The Voice China 2015 but some of the contestants have been really impressive (especially Will Jay! He's so amazingly talented, it's such a pity he got eliminated) 
Covered a mash-up of Just The Way You Are (Bruno Mars) and 稻香 (Jay Chou) which was originally sung by Lim Xu and Will Jay in the Battle Rounds.
This was really rushed, and I apologize for all the parts which aren't synced properly (aka COMPLETELY YOLO-ED THE RAP)  but enjoy!

I decided to get a bit lazy today and miked up my piano so I could sing and play at the same time - sound balance actually didn't turn out half bad so stay tuned for some equally crappy vocal/piano covers once my winter break starts.
