De Reünie Mix Series 002 is very special :-)

Mohajer and Lawrence Lee are two best friends from Berlin. They are regulars at De Reünie, events in Amsterdam and have become known for their groovy, slightly unpredictable sets that never take themselves too seriously. 

Last year, they dropped their first EP on UMAY, trying out fresh sounds and influences. They’ve played De Reünie three times—once as a back-to-back set and twice as solo acts (but always on the same night)—making them a familiar part of our lineup.

They recorded this mix in their shared studio, working with friends and bouncing tracks back and forth. The result is a free-flowing mix of different genres they love—something you’d hear at De Reünie—anchored by a laid-back, sexy vibe throughout.

A product of 10 years in Berlin’s underground and Filipina-Canadian party DNA, Babxi (pronounced 'Babsi') is a DJ and producer melding the best of modern rave culture with and the legendary nightlife of Paradise Garage and Studio 54.
Babxi's warm, nostalgic sound is the darling of Berlin dance floors such as Renate and KitKatClub, and well-known to beaches and festival stages across her second home, Thailand. This year, she's pumped to share new releases with the electronic music community – stay tuned!

About the mix:

"This mix is a reflection of what I've been  lately: high-tempo, temperature-rising tracks on the harder side of house. It's a journey through old-school and modern house – early 90s acid, a little disco-influenced hard dance (because disco puts glitter on everything), as well as a couple of selections from my current favourite producers, including an unreleased track at the end from myself! I hope it gets you hyper 🐝"

Laib Und Seele returns with the second instalment of its compilation series, offering a snapshot of the sonic territory we’re currently navigating. From atmospheric openers to club-focused cuts, this collection brings together a range of voices across different styles — all united by a shared sense of rhythm, texture, and forward movement.
The release opens with Yoshida – Debno, a slow-burning track built on beautiful pads and evolving rhythmic patterns. Sitting somewhere between breaks and UK bass, it grows steadily into a tightly layered piece full of intricate drums and sweeping synths. Yesjar – Abwartz follows with a signature slice of trippy, groove-led techno. Hypnotic yet playful, it moves through unexpected rhythms and shifting textures, keeping things immersive without losing its drive. Gymnasty – Electro Boogie switches gears into high-tempo electro territory — robotic vocals, acidic basslines, and sharp 808s power a no-nonsense workout that doesn’t let up.
On the flip side, Hindwood – You Are Not Your Mind delivers a proggy, trance-tinged house trip. Packed with bleepy detail and layered pads, it builds with purpose, balancing introspection with body-shaking energy. Cassine – Everybody Glitch brings the intensity up a notch with raw synths, industrial-influenced textures, and chopped vocal samples that push the track into peak-time terrain. Rounding off the release is Alejandro Naranjo – Anna’s Guy, a UKG-flavoured roller that blends garage swing, deep basslines, and hints of tech house and prog to close the compilation on a playful yet weighty note.
