Since the inauguration of the ARKJAO imprint in 2018 the Göteborg, Sweden based producer and DJ has unveiled three EP’s for the label, one alongside his partner in Genius Of Time and Aniara artist Dorisburg, and two solo EP’s. Arkajo’s distinctive sound deftly blurs the lines between House, Techno and Bass always with a raw percussive edge. Here though we see him welcome another of Göteborg’s finest onto the label, Ebende, who delivers two originals on the package.
‘The Source’ opens the release with a raw percussive drive running alongside murky, billowing textures and dubbed out voices. Arkajo delivers his twist on ‘The Source’ next, reshaping the original with gnarly bass flutters, eerie subs, intricately shuffled organic drums and the originals dark and hazy atmospheric feel.
On the flip side the second original ‘Magic Land’ leads, once again embracing bumpy off-kilter drums at its core while bubbling bass tones and cinematic string lines subtly unfurl and evolve throughout. Pugilist’s take on ‘Magic Lands’ then rounds out the release, bringing a gritty electro edge to things courtesy of crunchy drums, a menacing bass lead and playful electronic bleeps all intertwined with fragments of the original.

RDS presents his debut album E-mutations. Following his debut EP "RDS Theme" (De Lichting), subsequent "RDS Suite" (Kalahari Oyster Cult) and most recently “Force of Nature” (Spectral Bounce). “E-mutations”, is a culmination of his distinct approach.

The album comprises eight playful recordings ranging from introspective to heartwarming electronic music. “E-mutations” highlights patience and creativity, produced with a simple 64mb E-mu Workstation (1997). By avoiding the distractions of modern production, RDS focuses on the creative process itself, letting the music evolve naturally.

‘E-mutations’ releases both physically on a 100 limited compact disk, as well as in the digisphere.

Datawave delivers a tune that keeps the atmospheric idea of the label at heart but experiments with driving rhythms and acid lines.

For its second release, Russian label Analog Concept brings you four powerful and floor-ready electro tracks from rising stars in a dedicated genre; Starting with our favourite Liverpool producer nowadays – Reedale Rise and his frisky tune Borderland that can easily work out at 5 am as well as at 5 pm. Joyful and broken rhythm promises it will shake your body properly. Simon has been seen on labels like Frustrated Funk, 20:20 Vision, Kondi etc. The next in line is Nullptr from the east side of the Island. Label boss of d-tached records and co-promoter of Cambridge-based electro night Motherchip Connexion. Coming from labels such as Detroit Underground and CPU Records it is expected this guy brings only premium sounds. He delivers a strong and vibrant track that you cannot remain indifferent to. Side B is reserved for a Belgian producer know by the name of Datawave with a catalog of finest releases in the last few years on labels like AC Records, Vortex Traks, Fundamental Records, Natural Sciences and the Croatian producer Ivna Ji with British label Brokntoys behind her. Last but not least is Ivna's track Alpha Dial, composition that isn’t focused on dancefloors but instead entices the listener into a slowly progressing story, heavily loaded with dreamy synth lines.
