Mutual Disappointment Is A Terrible Thing / Shall Not Fade

Blur Records returns to present the debut of Dobro label boss, the exquisite DJ and Producer - Iner - and his brand new four-track EP entitled "Hugs For U" including remixes by Phonk D and Scruscru.

The producer and promoter from Belarus who currently resides in St. Petersburg is known for his creativity in House and Disco, with a running 8-year career and his own vinyl label "Dobro".

The lead track “Hugs For U” is a masterful hypnotic journey, filled with intricate percussive grooves and a driving vocal by singer Ouina that just gets you going every time you press play.

Up next we have "Ketchunez" a wonderfully executed stripped-back lofi track, with sweeping mutating soundscapes displaying intricate and sophisticated details.

The third track "Goosebumps" is a classic deep house jam with fluid organic drums, stripped back snares and a vintage bass stab, collecting the essence of sampling and synthesizing to perfection.

The fourth and last original track is "Ups & Downs" and one of our favourites at the headquarters, a minimalistic quintessential track of contextualized hypnotic groove, with an undulating bassline; a masterpiece of a track.

Next, we have the first remix with "Hugs For U" by German superstar producer Phonk D, a true reinterpretation of the original track, slick, infectious, finely remixed.

To close the EP we have a remix of "Ups & Downs" by Moscow based producer Scruscru - a very well achieved composition on its own, paying a beautiful homage to the original one in jungle fashion, truly brilliant reinterpretation.

This "jaytea" project, while reaching into the realms of Science fiction concept work against the world of proposed 'hit-seeking' house music, holds a knife to the throat of producers who exist to not exist within their own musical landscape. After a long summer break, Deep Explorer is back to the game with the "Space Space EP" by .MAHAL. For this project we call 'the joint venture', we are teaming up alongside our brothers and sisters from Inner Shift Music. This collaboration starts with the first 12" which will land on Deep Explorer and ends with the second 12" on Inner Shift Music. .Mahal. is a Japanese producer and dj that grew up surrounded by the healthy mixture of hiphop, house, jazz, rock and other eclectic sounds. Much of this music was played by his favourite radio show on NHK-FM, when he was a teenager. He began playing music at age 18, as guitar player in a noise band. Not long after, he started buying more music and became a dj, which quickly led to producing his own beats. His first official release was with Rough House Rosie. The "Space Space Ep part 01" contains 2 original tracks that dive into deep house and acid techno beats. It includes remixes by the mysterious Man-drake, taking one of the originals into the downtempo zone. Following that is the Brad P remix, which gives an alternate deep and atmospheric sound to the original, and Rai Scott closing the EP with an ambient reshape of an inedit track by .Mahal.

PREMIERE: Nick J. Smith - You Make Me Feel (Breese Remix) [Clandestino]

These tracks were written and produced over the last week; a most unusally quick turnaround for me :) It seems isolation has caused a burst of creativity. The current lockdown also affected the feel of the music; these two tracks are quite sombre in tone but with a note of positivity running through them, hence the titles. Anyway, hope you like the music.
