Introducing STEINGOLD, the LA-based electronic music producer who honed his skills in the legendary Detroit Techno and Hip Hop scenes of the 90s and 2000s.

Having partnered with none other than Mike D (Beastie Boys) and toured the world DJing at major festivals, STEINGOLD is now ready to unleash his highly anticipated solo project, the ELEVATE EP.

With a track record of successful collaborative releases on labels like Stones Throw, Visionquest, and House of EFunk, the ELEVATE EP marks a significant milestone for STEINGOLD, as it showcases his skills as a solo artist. The EP features an all-star lineup of collaborators, including rising star Byron The Aquarius, and legendary Chicago House producer Mike Dunn, who both lend their expert touch to remix the title track, "ELEVATE."

But that's just the beginning. "THEY LIVE" is a moody electro tune that features Elton John's touring keyboard player, Kim Bullard, and Charlie Wilson's (Gap Band) trumpet player Brandyn Phillips. STEINGOLD samples his neighbors cheering on essential workers during COVID lockdowns, adding a powerful and emotional dimension to the track.

The ELEVATE EP is a heartfelt journey through STEINGOLD's Detroit roots and influences in electronic music and rap. The title track, "ELEVATE," was created as a modern Hip House track, with STEINGOLD and Nate Husser (+1 Records) having a conversation about Booty music before jumping into the booth, and recorded before the current trend of Rap/R&B and House.

"HBF" is a slapping house jam that pays homage to Kevin Saunderson's "Inner City". All tracks on the EP were started during the COVID lockdown and finished at Owl Foot Ranch Studios in Tarzana, CA and features additional production by Jean-Michel LaPointe.

In short, the ELEVATE EP is a must-listen for fans of electronic music and rap alike. With its impressive lineup of collaborators, powerful emotional undertones, and expertly crafted beats, it's sure to leave a lasting impression on listeners.

Kuna Maze delivers his new album ‘Night Shift’ via the UK’s Tru Thoughts this June, featuring collaborations with Steve Spacek, Mivda and Reinel Bakole across its thirteen tracks.

Brussels-based producer, multi-instrumentalist and DJ, Edouard Gilbert aka Kuna Maze, has been steadily making his mark on the contemporary electronic music scene over the past few years. Delivering collaborative projects for the likes of Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM (Test Press Club), Lyon’s Galant, Parisian label Cascade and of course Tru Thoughts where he makes a welcome return here following his ‘Débuts’ LP alongside Nikitch in 2020 and their 2022 ‘Back & Forth’ LP.

With the ‘Night Shift’ album, Kuna Maze offers up a variety of jazz and soul infused compositions, from hazy downtempo offerings like ‘On The Way’, ‘Smoke Break’ and ‘Late Night Tales’, more ethereal deep house feels with ‘Dawn’ and more UK bruk tinged cuts like ‘Zeitnot’, ‘Samosa’, ‘Broken Light’ and ‘Jimbo’. Gilbert also further displays his depth of sound and style through the Steve Spacek collaborative ‘Told U’ which leans into lo-fi hip hop aesthetics while further featured tracks radiantly display the core influence of the Kuna Maze sound, acid jazz, on tracks like ‘First Order’, ‘Late Night Tales’, ‘Don’t Know ft. Midva’ and the smooth, soulful vocals from Reinel Bakole which accompany ‘Reflections’.

Once again Kuna Maze delivers a unique listening experience through the ‘Night Shift’ LP, guiding listeners to traverse through his many musical influences and his ever-unfolding journey as an artist.

The B-side flip delivers ‘Raw Uncut’ by L&F who samples Mobb Deep over some breaks and bass that certainly takes you on a journey.

Low Recordings welcomes Glo Phase with a hazy & dreamy journey through sound.

 The EP kicks off with "Left Bank," immersing the listener in a dreamy, hazy sonic landscape. Drifting bass lines, subtly evocative keys reminiscent of sirens, a gentle kick, and a grounded snare keep us swaying and grooving as the track unfolds. Suddenly, a flourish of keys, an echoed clap, and a delicate vocal embellishment remind us that there's much more to explore in this evolving world that Glo Phase meticulously crafts. These flourishes are the signature elements that define the unique universe he's constructing for us.

 Next, he leads us into a fresh auditory realm titled "Ancient Shift." The droning sounds persist throughout the track, with keys, bassline, and drum beats shining through, playfully inviting our ears to engage with them. This seamlessly paves the way to the closing track of "Hidden Harbor."

 "Hidden Harbor" serves as the perfect exit from Glo Phase's crafted world. It exudes subtlety, and the steady beat of the kick drum provides an impeccable segue out of the immersive realm he's built. The keys gently ebb and flow until they bid us a gradual farewell.
