PREMIERE: Nightdrive - Incidental Passenger [ECOUL SND]

The room was warm and crowded, in the middle a small circle of space could be seen in which one by one a dancer would take a turn to show their worth. These were the kind of levels to be expected and as the lights flickered, flashed and poured down on the people below he began to panic slightly at the thought of entering the ring. There was no turning back now, he'd come this far and all that was left was the sweet, riotous chance to bust a move and end this thing once and for all. It was all about the levels...

Hardacre is set to self release on a newly launched self titled record label. This track is called 'Levels' and is taken from a forthcoming new EP - a techy affair with space driven melodies dotted throughout. One for the heads.

Pílula Project is the name of the brazilian duo behind our 9th release.

More than 15 year of friendship permeated by music unites Ramiro Galas and Bruno Iunes. From the first recordings with pirated programs on cassette tapes to the first synthesizers, these two continued to discover the world of music production together.

They left their mark on our local scene, enriching it with their live compositions. Always incidental, abundant in improvisation and harmony, this project became one of the legends of the untold oral history of Brasília's electronic music.

After a series of twists in life, they got together again to compose this work and we’re honored to release their first EP.

@dj-postkiste – better known under his real name Simon Klotz – is a 28 years old DJ and music producer, based in Mainz. He discovered his love of music at an early age through classical guitar lessons and the first records that his father gave him. Today he is a well experienced and talented vinyl selector and DJ of all kind of electronic music. He is mostly known as a resident at the legendary Missing LINK partys based in Darmstadt / Germany. 

Whether he's playing some heavier styles of techno or softer house music, he always manages to keep that stuff groovy and chooses tracks that have a special something.

Meanwhile he is focusing on some own productions and first releases under his new alias DJ Postkiste. You better stay tuned and enjoy his vinyl-mix!

BREIDENCAST NO. 16 - DJ Postkiste

Zobol is a reliably prolific entity within the current electro scene, and he's at it once again with this fresh EP for Analog Concept. The record opens up with the positively lush sound of 'No Disguise', which lands somewhere between the dreamiest delights of Detroit and sunkissed Florida machine funk. It's a record to blow the Winter blues away, that's for sure. 'Clarity' meanwhile has a noirish braindance quality to it, and the title track nudges up into acidic, borderline ravey territory with a sweet accent in the synth department. CPU-signed artist Nullptr steps up for a remix of 'Mirage', softening its edges and getting expressive with the synth work.

PREMIERE: Zobol - No Disguise [Analog Concept]

D.Vices is back on Woodwork with a deep and dirty EP, carrying his futuristic sound ever further forward. Big Bang Theory is crafted with immaculate detail and careful attention to dynamics and creative scope. Jack Coleman's imaginative soundscapes overlay his furious signature beats and precise melodic framework which have earned him several notable chart positions with releases on various labels over the past year. This EP is packed solid with three of his strongest works to date.

The title track opens the release beautifully, setting a dark and sensual mood with edgy, tattered drum hits treated with tactile layers of noise. Robotic accents and sweet, minimal spiky synth lines create ample thematic substance. Less is definitely more as evident throughout this delectable cut.

Winding up with distant, eerie siren blasts, 'Heart Attack' delivers wicked kick-punch combinations straight off, under rapid squelching bass figures shifting up and back through stepwise changes. D.Vices' characteristic sound has never been tighter and more cohesive, referencing classic electro feels while etching his own unique tag, wielding a custom set of sonic tools.

'Ghosts' slaps with thick snares and glassy percussion hits, floating through thick liquid bass, occasionally submerged in synthetic glowing atmospheric hues. A relentless energy pushes its way through each turnaround, led by unusual filter blast effects and tempered by the ever-present spooky mood created by an overhanging synth haze.

'Ghosts' is then further subject to the freak-treatment by the one and only LectrO cOd_E. The original themes are dismantled and dressed in riveted scrap metal outer armour, transporting the same ethereal vibes, electrified and battle-ready. LectrO cOd_E's version busts out of the halfway point with a supernatural blast that eliminates everything in its path...
