Berlin-Hamburg duo Session Victim return to the ever-reliable Delusions Of Grandeur imprint with Chapter Two of their Sidequests trilogy, marking yet another high point in their almost twenty year journey through heartfelt, sample-rich music.  Overflowing with analog warmth, sun-drenched textures and irresistible grooves, the release also features a stellar remix from label co-founder and deep house pioneer Jimpster who kicks off the EP.

Here he takes Behind The Glass into spaced out house-not-house territory.  With crisp drum programming, trademark Rhodes, and subtle pads that build over time, his version delivers that late-night sophistication he's known for—steering the downtempo original in a clubbier direction without losing its blissed-out essence.

Up next we have a brand new collaborative effort with long time friend, label mate and fellow sample nerd Nebraska. Make It Happen is a dusty, slo-mo house groove featuring delicate keys, euphoric strings and that unmistakable sense of journey.  It’s just the kind of low-slung epic house they do best—intimate yet club-ready, nostalgic but never retro.

Flipping over, Too Soft To Be Loud, another collaboration with Viken Arman, follows with a jazzy, almost samba-esque rhythm and swirling atmospherics.  Loose percussion, catchy guitar riffs and Rhodes stabs collide with off-kilter dub FX and soft vocal snippets giving the track a laid-back, live-band feel that harks back to their See You When You Get There era.

Hubcap Candy dives deep into funk territory.  Nebraska’s on point boogie bassline drives the track forward as crunchy drums and layers of synths create a dreamlike haze. It’s loopy, moody, and finds Session Victim at their very best.

Closing out the EP we have the original of Behind The Glass, a headsy, beatdown piece that slowly unfolds over an unconventional brass-like bassline and delicate guitar textures, paying homage to the golden age of Trip Hop haziness and it’s pioneer turntable spirit.

Blending crate-digging sensibilities with forward-thinking production, this latest release solidifies Session Victim’s reputation as genre-blurring tastemakers, and their chemistry with Delusions Of Grandeur remains as strong as ever.

The reborn of the label: Killax is back with this 4 tracks EP by the owner Kid Mark.
A journey that starts with the soulful vocal track "You're My Star", a perfect opening that gets you in the right mood. The EP continue with "Me & You": here we have that funky thing we all love. After that "The Matter (Dub)" increases the heat with classic house drums mixed with a heavy bassline. The EP ends with "Here 4 You": M1 organ and strong drums, the perfect match for a club track.

Modern funk star XL Middleton has been leading the way in the genre for over a decade now with his MoFunk imprint and he is a longtime collaborator with both Soul Clap and FSQ. This 3-track EP is the result of a studio collaboration between XL Middleton, MoFunk’s leading lady Moniquea, Soul Clap’s Charles Levine and FSQ’s Chuck Da Fonk at Empire Studios in San Francisco. 

‘Brand New’ is a house anthem featuring Moniquea’s inspirational vocal, XL Middleton’s bright piano chords and wailing synth solo. The song is underpinned by Soul Clap’s devotion to house music’s gospel roots and New York and New Jersey swinging drums. ‘Feeling Wide’ taps into FSQ’s ‘80s new wave style with Moniquea’s layered, punk-funk vocals evoking New York City downtown disco. While the fast paced ‘Brand New’ is meant to uplift, ‘Feeling Wide’ is a syncopated song about self-depreciation. 

Charles Levine’s remix of ‘Red Light’ closes out the set with an ode to California car culture. It’s a Chicago booty house inspired take with Charles’ knocking drums set against XL’s sinister high frequency G-Funk synth lines. This one is a monster that set the Movement Detroit 2025 festival on fire.

Wrapping things up with ‘The Flute Song’, Pegasvs pulls out all the stops in providing a fun-feeling, long-lasting stepper that ends proceedings effortlessly - playful, full of cheer and poise, this is dance music at its most joyous.

JKriv returns to Rocksteady Disco after a six-year break with his stunning ‘Adaptation EP’. 

This super solid five tracker continues J's hot streak on seemingly every great label around the world including his own Razor-N-Tape, with a deep organic sound, thanks to it being mostly produced in his MPC3000 era. 'Greene Street Lament' kicks it off on a boom bap beat tip. Next 'Adaptation' gets the party started with lush strings, piano, and a huge bassline. On the flip is 'Total Pleasure', a midtempo boogie house joint with enough sub to rattle your car door handles off. 'Vibetown' continues on the MPC tip with killer breaks and chops for all the heads. Lastly, the 'Adaptation (Dub)' closes out with the driving dance floor sound we all know and love JKriv for. Housed in a gorgeous picture sleeve and cut loud to vinyl, this EP is an absolute must have.

Nagoya-based multi-instrumentalist and rising DJ Hiroyuki Kato returns to the ever-consistent Flexi Cuts with Life 今 (FLEX 031), a record that perfectly distills the artist’s layered approach to sound and the label’s instinct for unearthing voices that carry both groove and depth.
Having built a relationship with the label over the past two years—already signing an EP and a single—Kato now delivers a project that feels like a culmination of that dialogue: five tracks on wax, complemented by an additional cut exclusive to the digital edition.

True to its title, Life 今 exudes immediacy and presence. Kato draws on his background as a polyrhythmic player, folding live instrumentation into supple house frameworks, always with a subtle melodic sensibility.
The vinyl selections range from the quietly propulsive to the rhythmically expansive, each tune infused with that warm, unhurried Flexi aura. Basslines strut with understated confidence, chords shimmer with daylight energy, and the arrangements move with a natural, unforced flow.

Originally "Back in the Days" released in 2004 on Resopal Schallware marked Tigerskin as a torchbearer for pop-oriented groovy House, reviving the raw energy of early 90s bleeps, swung beats, and untamed dance floor spirit but transforming it with the technical possibilities of the early 00s into his trademark romantic vision.

From the pulse of “Dance Now” to the cringey charm of “Party in My Car,” Tigerskin proved that Back in the Days was more than a look backward - it was a bridge between era's: a reminder that the roots of club culture still grow, still breathe, still move people.

Two decades on, this re‑release doesn’t just bring back nostalgia - it reminds us that reminiscing every once in a while can push creativity. The album and a few EPs around it were the start of a pretty different approaches to club music for Tigerskin, that led to several big tracks and remixes, some now considered to be classics by many. 

The three formerly unreleased and slightly more club-oriented bonus tracks had been recorded the same year but were amongst many that didn’t make it to the album.

Alas, the first run of the wonderfully well-received and expertly curated origami series from Melbourne-based Kyoku Records is coming to an end. However, before moving on to new endeavours, we're going to be graced with one last appearance from the orizuru, hachidori, oumu and hakucho, that is, the paper crane, the hummingbird, the parrot and the swan. The aptly titled "Odoru Tori" EP which translates to "Dancing Birds" is the first of its kind various artists compilation for the Australian imprint, featuring the same group of producers who were at the helm for each of the label’s solo releases to date. Making their return are Dorsi Plantar, Long Island Sound, Sune, and Ethyène (alongside Folamour and Marc Bianco).

You may find the artwork for today's premiere familiar, and that is because the parrot has already made an appearance both for Kyoku and for Bolting Bits in the form of a premiere of Long Island Sound's Delusions from their solo "Last Place You Look" EP released almost exactly a year ago. We're more than happy to follow that one up with today's feature, Ease In, the B1 on the forthcoming VA compilation. The Irish duo employ a familiar recipe here, finding another catchy vocal hook and intricately weaving it in along with other samples into an engaging arrangement that not only makes you want to listen but more importantly makes you want to dance as well. The main string sample lends a dreamy character to the song while the tougher drums and groovy bassline pleasantly contradict it. Pair all of the above with their adept synth work and you've got yourself another surefire hit.As always, this one comes highly recommended and will be vinyl only, so be sure to get your copy at Juno.

The walkway was packed during rush hour with tourists hustling to take pictures and anxious business people wandering back and forth hurriedly. Each of them looked more "important" than the last and each had a sense of unrivalled urgency as if to indicate that their next meeting was far more important than yours. Gigi didn't care for the likes of their haste, she walked slowly but surely and with delicate precision. 

Roza Terenzi is set to release a new EP on Kalahari Oyster Cult following the success of her acclaimed first on Good Company Records. This time she draws for the breaks and delivers a fierce statement of intent.

Strap yourselves in as Post Pluto takes flight with French duo, RBDP, on their fresh self-titled EP. The record features four tracks of high altitude cruisers, soaring through the elements of acid, deep house, breaks and dubbed out synths. We depart the troposphere with “Acid R”, a mellow and low-end fusion of dubby textures and acidic lines. “Like Dat” follows, with moody pads, percussive grooves and celestial tones. On the flip, “St San” takes the record into an acidic journey of 303 sequences and saturated 707 drum patterns, with a sublime zero-gravity remix by Red Ember Records bossman Ewan Jansen.
