Universal Cave - Angst (edit)

After the end of the year, south Balearic adventurers wipe the sand and head home to dream about the next adventure. Mother earth is sad with us, but down south, the summer stretches a bit, and memories of good times are a very necessary balm to confront the daily grind.

The northerners that tasted the sun, return to a very intense withdrawn of vitamin D. Next months are tuff but there's hope in the air.

Located right in the middle of this confusion, Kauan Marco is just trying to create an endless summer inside our souls. Like a caipirinha on the beach on a comfortable chair, with enough sun to warm, but not burn. This isn't deep nostalgia of the past. Kauan is looking for the future, either august in the north or January in the south, no matter where you're are his music is just one thing: comfy.

Synth basses, claps, 808 vibes, wordless vocals, and a mean guitar, are the weapons of choice for Marco. Don't forget to reapply some Marco after a swim session.

Com o fim do ano, os aventureiros baleáricos do sul balançam a areia e voltam para casa para sonhar com as próximas aventuras. A Mãe Natureza está triste com nós, apesar disso o verão extende-se e as memórias dos bons tempos funcionam como um bálsamo para aplacar a correria do dia a dia.

Os habitantes do norte, que experimentaram o sul fora de temporada, voltam para casa com sintomas intesos de dependência de vitamina D... os próximos meses são complexos, mas existe esperança no ar.

Localizado no meio de desta confusão, Kauan Marco está apenas tentando criar o verão sem fim em nossas almas. Como uma capirinha na praia, sentado em uma cadeira confortável e sol suficiente para aquecer e não queimar.

Este trabalho não é pura nostagia do passado, Kauan está olhando para o furuto, seja agosto no norte ou janeiro no sul, não importa onde você esteja, sua música é apenas uma coisa: reconfortante.

Synth bass, palmas, climas da 808, vocalizações e uma guitarra safada, estas são suas armas. Não esqueça de reaplicar um pouco de Marco depois de um mergulho.

Dance for Relief is a way to use our music to help raise funds for causes that we are passionate about. The third and final release in the series is a compilation of edits, remixes and secret weapons from various friends, with Volume 3 focusing on boogie and disco influenced sounds from around the world.

As before all proceeds raised from this release will go straight to Direct Relief (directrelief.org), a charity whose mission is to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies, and who are doing great work to ensure that protective gear and critical care medications get to as many health workers as possible. Their work continues to be particularly important in the midst of the current Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.

Finally, we'd like to say a huge thank you to all the artists involved who have given their skills and time during a difficult period to help make this release happen, in support of a worthy cause.

Digital Deadstock 015:  Nocturno Op. 1 (DJ Duckcomb Wetmix)

Unearthing lost gems from deep underground is RFX’s speciality. With regular releases on his own imprint Fauve Records based in Hong Kong, we saw it fit for RFX to grace us with 4 edits from the beyond for our first On Point Worldwide Edits series. The first track is a heavy boogie electro beat with a lovable crackling sound, a very rare tune found in the UK attics with a lot of luck. Following this is a groovy Italo influenced jam with a bouncy feeling, perfect for those weirdos to do their thing on the dance-floors. The third is a Kwaito edit with the simplest of flute melodies and a raw beat that gets you hooked in the first 30 seconds. Add a splash of acid to the track and you get a late-night anthem. Last but not least, a choppy break-beat style track with Indian percussions & dark heavy bass for all those sweaty clubs.

PREMIERE: RFX - Eh Oh Ah Ha (RFX Edit) [On Point Worldwide Records]

Periodica Records dives into the heart of the Napoli underground with a scorching two track single from Danger Boys called ‘Danger Zone’, which sees Milord and Whodamanny paying tribute to the their cult party of the same name, which was hosted at the Boudoir Club. In the title track, perilous premonitions of tribal disco intertwine with shadowy strains of post-punk, as propulsive beats pound beneath heady fuzz licks, ringing harmonics, and sheets of solar distortion. Basslines cut the difference between frenetic funk and cosmic rock, galactic winds carry sparkles of deep space detritus, and above it all, a high priest chants in ecstasy, with his mystical musings, echoing affirmations, and messages of defiance pulling the body deeper into the dance. Then in “Haunted Zone,” the Danger Boys slow it down and stretch everything out, while giving further space to computronic sequences, laser-generated birdsong, and weirdo whooshes of interstellar noise. Low-slung drums smack through cavernous reverb, cymbals tick nervously, and the bass reduces to a minimalistic dub throb as guitars converse with alien electronics, sometimes slashing the air with red hot riffs and acid rock leads, other times reducing to a psychedelic slop of scrapes and slides. And here, the vocals are even more dynamic, moving between druidic disco incantations and zany flourishes of outsider pop.
