Toy Tonics signed Gee Lane also known as Virginie. Her debut Metamorphosis EP (with remixes by Demi Riquísimo and Divorce From New York Remix & PIEK will come out in October. 
Gee Lane is a Venezuelan DJ and vinyl digger based in Barcelona. Gee Lane has been djing with the Toy Tonics Krew already for more than a year now. Kids who go to dance to the Toy Tonics Jam happenings around Europe might have seen her jamming with Kapote and the TT krew and spreading her fabulous music with an extremely positive energy and attitude. Gee Lane is a unique personality with a very strong style (in music but also as a person) and very elaborated ability to read and play with the dancers. Now she delivers her first ever EP. Recorded in Barcelona and Berlin with a little help by Robin Braum from Athlete Whippet. And it reflects well her roots and passion for everything what came out from New York in sense of dance culture. You can hear influences from the 80‘ promo disco scenes as well as the 1990 Body & Soul/ Francois Kervorkian ä/ Joe Claussell universe. In fact Gee Lane after being raised in Cara as and musically educated by her father from a very early age, (a composer and musician) she moved to New York at a very young age in the late 90's where she fell in love with the HOUSE scene. And especially everything that happened at the famous and influential ’Body & Soul’ club.

This culture increased her curiosity to become a DJ (and vinyl digger herself) who is not just interested in house music but wants to explore other genres such as funk , Hip-Hop , jazz and Latin sounds and include these vibes into her DJ sets. A vinyl collector (and long time record shop employee) since then, she is known for her musical eclecticism that leads her to mix everything what she wants ...

Besides her DJ activity she is the host of the radio show: Table For Two on Radio d59b (Belgrade/Berlin).  

Gee Lane now is a steady member of the Toy Tonics Krew and is already playing the Toy Tonics Jams all around Europe. A second EP is in the making.

Two years after his first release on our label we are very glad to have “Love Will Say No” from northern Italy back with another stellar mix of styles mini album/ extended EP! From Dark Disco to Cut up House and soulful Groove, you can find it all in this beautiful package of songs. Always looking to the farther left field side of dance music and never forgetting the strength of the dance floor sound, something that really touches us and makes us proud to release, certainly what Dirt Crew always stood for in our 20 years of existence. A true unique style!

This time we let the artist himself put some words on the tracks as it really describes his sound in the best possible way;
Carry the Fire - One of my musical myths since I was a kid is for sure the birth of Hip Hop and those early days.

Kool Herc and the merry-go-round, those breaks, those grooves, the essence of dancing stripped to the bone. Even today, with all that technology available, that must be the seed of what we’re doing. So this track is my tribute to that. And happens to be released exactly 50 years after the birth of Hip Hop. The title is a reference from “The Road” by Cormack McCarthy, and also if I chose that when he was still alive, in the end happened to be a tribute also to him.

Time Is the Perfect Lover - Yes it is. Damn power of memories to distort the reality of our past, tryin’ to trick us.

You’ll Know When - A French touch track like many I wrote in more than 20 years, but full of the bittersweet eyes of a 40 years old man.
When you’re 20, you hope for things to happen. When you’re 40, you hope to be able to recognise when things happen.

Gonna Summer - First track I wrote as Love Will Say No, almost 10 years ago. Never satisfied with the first result, I wanted to give new life to it. The Roulé seed is still there, the mellon collie rhodes chords too, but now the groove is working for a late sunset as I always hoped.

Red Window - Summer. Late night. Making music in my apartment. Too hot. Almost pitch dark outside on the streets, with no sound a round. Just one single window in sight. With a red light. Never discovered anything more.

This War Is Finally Lost - Ending a relationship, of any kind, could be a relief. Even if we lose. Winning is not important anymore as is ending. Exactly like wars.

Momentary Bliss is the album from Norwegian wonder boy, Third Attempt, who crafts a typically refined selection on the gorgeously eclectic and majestically constructed 'Momentary Bliss'. Continuing to light up the ever-reliable Beatservice roster, he combines an awe-inspiring production quality with an equally inspiring work rate, confirming his status as one of the Norwegian underground's most magnetic artists to have emerged over the last few years. The disco energy of 'Our Show For The Night' subtly shifts the mood while honeyed vocal samples beautifully augment the captivating orchestration as the dynamic arrangement unfolds. On 'Keep Playin' keys dance across the panorama, while the chopped hip-hop vocal cuts through before synth bass adding weight to the groove. 'Hold Me' contains some gorgeously orchestrated instrumentation, feel-good guitar licks, and stirring strings. Finally, the rolling breaks and sumptuous strings of 'Hard Times (Part Of The Journey)' propels jazzy keys, hazy guitar licks and evocative vocal samples to see the album home in suitably engaging style.

Ruff Stuff teams up with Bress Underground for a long awaited return to SB... a new collection of Deep House tracks of the highest order from these Italian House Heads. Foundations is a steam roller of a track calling on Ruff Stuff’s love for Mr.G, with some tasty French House accents adding a nice funk factor. Sliding Sine makes us wanna go felt pelt on an Autobahn with its rich bass stabs under late night synth echoes with tough drum programming.

Bress Underground comes aboard to collab on the next two tracks and makes his presence felt. The Community is a punchy gospel House cut with crackling vocal samples and trippy chord patterns.
